Comments (2)I think I would leave the wall out but have more than one extra quiet extractor to deal with cooking smells. I would also look into increasing the ceiling height to increase the feeling of space....See MoreIs my lounge too safe and boring?
Comments (6)Thanks, I will look for some stronger patterned cushions instead of some of the plain ones, I am still looking for a side table, lamp etc so can bring in a bit more interest there....See MoreBoring 'cold' lounge
Comments (10)Hi Sally, You could wallpaper the ceiling and the wall opposite the window (or just the ceiling!) ; apply a complimentary colour to the other three (or all) walls and another colour for the cornicing, architraves and skirting to make these a bit of a feature. You could also replace the current curtains with full length ones that stack back further from the window to make it appear bigger and conceal the radiator. I think mid tone blues would make the room appear slightly cold, I would go for dark blues/ greys/rich browns. Farrow&Ball have a sumptuous selection of wallpapers and suggested complimentary paint colours so this could be a good place to start. I think these would look amazing in your living room: Feature Ceiling in Ocelot Wallpaper This is would look rather fabulous on the ceiling: Amime Wallpaper Good luck! Comments (5)Hey, you have a really nice space to work with. Often subtle hints of colour can really help bring a room to life, in the example I've shown below, they have used soft grey tones to break up the cream colour. things like throws and cushions are a really easy way to start adding some contrast into your room. Another simple tip that makes the world of difference is to add some greenery, a tall plant in that far corner would help bring the room to life. Finally, those curtains make don't really fit the theme of the rest of the room. A white wooden venetian blind would look perfect and would also give you more precise light control. giving you more privacy, as well as helping the room feel more light and spacious in the daytime. https://www.makemyblinds.co.uk/wooden-blinds/...See Moreannalyzer1001
