what colour woodwork with crushed aloe walls in bedroom?

Hello, has anyone used crushed aloe on bedroom walls? We've bought grey curtains and grey/white bedding, will be having black bedside lights and black framed art. Cant decide what colour to paint skirting boards. Any thoughts or ideas welcome!

Try laying something white, and black along the skirting board, to see what it would look like.
A roll of black bin bags, roll of white loo paper, and paint a strip of wallpaper in crushed aloe.
Take a photo, then compare.
You’ll know which one you like best!

People often suggest that blue is cold, but we have a blue on the greenish side - we had it mixed and I don't have the number any longer. Visually the nearest colour I could find online was Dulux Blue Reflection. http://www.designerpaint.com/products/dulux-paintpod/blue-reflection/80377 In this traditional room we use it with slightly shaded white woodwork and ceiling, a rather "bedroomy" persian rug that is basically cream with deeper blues, some ochre and a little peach, but we've previously used it with the paler citrussy green often called lemongrass as an accent colour for a more contemporary look, with pure white woodwork. It really is the true blue of the sky and feels like daylight, even on the darkest days - I think you might find that it works well in a darker bedroom. I've just taken a couple of photos on my camera to show the colour in daylight and artificial light - apologies for the quality, they may come out the wrong way round!

Hi Sue. The pale pink doesn't seem to be lightening up the room ATM so I wonder if you've considered going dark? The pictures below are farrow and ball Hague blue which would look great against the screen and the floor. You could also add a large potted plant and maybe consider wallpapering the back of the shelves in a William Morris paper as per the link? This could also work for the boiler cupboard but would try just painting it first. Thank you for your reply. I really like the image you have attached, and maybe layering grey is a solution; however, I've found finding tonally similar grey soft furnishings, etc particularly difficult, hence wanting to add more colour to the mix. I've attached an image of the inside ofThe built in cupboard. The larger middle section has a hanging rail. I prefer to use this space for extra's (duvets/pillows/etc). I would like a wardrobe in this room. Because of the requirements, I'm abit stuck on the layout of the room.

Love navy feature walls. I have Little Greene Woad in my kitchen. I think the pink will go nicely with it, but I agree with Minnie to use a pale grey for the rest of the walls. Dulux Polished Pebble is lovely and quite pale. Or how about a more dirty pink - something like F&B Setting Plaster or Dulux Blush Pink. Polished Pebble Little Greene Woad
