What is the best brand of floor paint and lacquer
Comments (4)If your contractor is preparing them - ie sanding back - then you could maybe use Neptune Isoguard treatment oil. I've used the seasoned oak finish ( on an oak floor admittedly - not Pine) and it gives a lovely whitened wood finish similar to their Henley kitchen colour - but you can put more on or less to alter the effect ?! It's in our lounge - so pretty high traffic - and stands up well ! It's a bit expensive ... But worth it in my experience!...See MoreWhat is the best colour choice for my floor?
Comments (0)When choosing a specific colour for your hardwood flooring it can be a daunting task. With so many stains, finishes and styles of wood flooring this may be the most difficult part when it comes to it. Once it’s down there’s no going back… or is there? The natural beauty of wood is that it is a reusable product, hence where reclaimed wood flooring comes from. For the most part, the majority of flooring laid is manufactured and new when sold. It can come either finished or unfinished. You may have a rough idea in terms of a dark, light or medium colours that you would like to match an existing or soon to be existing decor. A pre-ordering tip it may be best to check online for images of different types of decor similar to your own. Compare the type of colours used for the flooring. Fashion is constantly changing so you may be surprised when colours you may not have thought of sway your final decision. Another tip is to get a sample of the flooring when you have a rough idea of the colour you’re trying to achieve. Physically seeing the sample in your hand and perhaps placing it alongside existing decor to match up, you have a more accurate choice when deciding what to go for. Furthermore, don’t just choose a flooring colour because you can’t find the one you’re after. WoodFloors4u provide a bespoke hand finishing service whereby virtually any colour is achievable. With a colour sample, we can colour match to an unfinished board of your choice from our products....See MoreWhat fabric would go with this granite?

Some might be a bit too like for like, but I'd also suggest picking out the gold/bronze in the granite, and keeping to earthy tones: http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/glacier/113038 http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/oro/124530 http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/monture/123238 http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/studio/123243 http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/studio/84704 http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/product/serpentine/112644 We have an online cushion making service too - http://www.janeclayton.co.uk/made-to-measure/cushions/ Please feel free to get in touch with us if you'd like assistance with anything! Comments (14)There seems to be too much going on in your kitchen which is jarring, with colour and everything crowded around the old chimney breast. Perhaps the simplest thing to do might be to remove the backsplash and paint all the walls a warm neutral to tie in with the cupboard doors. I think the upper cupboards on the LHS of the old chimney breast could be removed to give a greater sense of space. As Jonathan has said, under cabinet lighting will brighten the space....See MoreAmy Lewis
