Comments (23)Thank you so much to everyone for their help! Overwhelmed by it, what a lovely lot of people you are. The sales person did say that she was always picking bits up after people had been in but I thought maybe people were trying to take samples or something. Maybe not! I just liked the lack of pattern but textured and with a nice subtle glitter in it.I wanted to put it in the hallway, not measured it up yet, might try abd have a look at that primero and graham and brown one too, thanks again x...See Moreneed help to match the wallpapers in the hall
Comments (7)Thank you so much ewa some, Let me know how you get on and if you want to know how.. just ask.. Basically it's masking tape or frog tape which is less tacky (sticky) to mark the divide and a very steady hand and you decide how far you want to divide as it could be higher than dado height, but entirely how you see it if it's paint and paper. Also if you're going to use paint then peel off the masking tape as soon as you have painted.. If it's paper on paper then don't forget the pattern repeat.. If there is one that is.. :))...See MoreHelp - traditional bedroom paint / wallpaper ideas
Comments (3)Love it when people keep and incorporate original features. I think you have some awesome colours to work with there. I think you could use mustards, yellows and olive colours. But personally a really dark forest green would be amazing in the room. But i wouldn't know how to set it up, just as a feature wall? I don't know. You don't have to do a feature wall. Id love to know the furniture you have for the room....See MoreHelp: fabrics to complement a wallpaper
Comments (11)Having looked at damask wallpapers in the photos on Houzz, on the whole if the curtains are a different colour to the wall then they are plain. If a different pattern is used in any soft furnishings then they are in the exact same colour as the wallpaper. I would think a stripe would go, as long as the background colour matches the wallpaper. However, it might be worth looking at some of the fabric and wallpaper designers websites or in a soft furnishings shop to see how they treat different patterns within the same colour collection. I suspect it will be to do with scale, ie put a small pattern against a big pattern. Another option is to use a sumptuous plain, such as a moiré and have a contrasting colour leading edge on the curtains which you then pick up in patterned cushions....See MoreCelery.
