What colours should I use for my kitchen?
Comments (10)your lovely kitchen seems to recede into the walls as in my opinion there is not enough contrast and wevet may have the same issue.....so personally I would choose a stronger colour....don't forget you won't see much as most of the wall is covered with cabinets. Also with a window and French doors and a pale reflective floor it will be reasonably light. Choose a colour that you like that is used elsewhere in the house that you like and it will lend continuity. how about Farrow and Balls India Yellow?...See MoreHelp! What colour should I paint my kitchen?
Comments (11)I must admit I am scratching my head a bit on this one - the two slightly different shades of cream don't make it easy! If everything wasn't split new, I think I would be recommending changing the tiles. I'm not a fan of painting tiles either, but I am really at a loss as to what to suggest. A teal perhaps or verdigris, but I think whatever colour you pick, the tile/cabinet combination may still feel a little unbalanced. Might be worth thinking what you can do to mask the tiles with nicely coloured appliances, possibly an accessory rail, fruit bowl, plants/herbs etc....See MoreAny ideas/suggestions on what colour I should paint my kitchen
Comments (11)We also have a north east facing kitchen, we used farrow and balls, Purbeck stone on our wall of units at the back of the kitchen (its warmer than using grey which can look cold in a north facing room), pelt on our peninsula and dimity on the walls, it give off pink hues during the day and is (nice) sort of creamy beige in the evening / on dull days. We took samples of our flooring and work top to a F&B shop/consultant and they were really helpful in confirming that the colours we wanted would work in our N/E facing room. I was pretty fixed on the the purbeck stone and pelt and it was they that suggested using dimity on the walls. Also as already suggested, tester pots and paint on large pieces of paper that you can move around the room is a good idea....See MoreWhat colour should I paint my kitchen presses , island and walls ?
Comments (3)Hi, what will be on the floor? Definitely get samples of the colours you like first, paint some large pieces of cardboard with it and look at them in the light of your actual kitchen. This is Purbeck Stone with Mole's Breath You could paint the walls Ammonite, Cornforth White or Wevet. I'd go for a light coloured Quartz worktop, but again, I would look at samples and hold them together with your chosen paint colours....See Morehoneypoppet
