Accent chair indecision...

This is our new sofa (this is the store photo, not our living room). I want to have a contrasting accent chair on the opposite corner - reasonably compact as otherwise it creates a pinch point - but I can't work out what style. I keep getting drawn to quite mid-century longer-legged looks, but would that look odd with this style of sofa? Should I look for something similar shaped but a contrasting colour (teal?). The overall look of our house is aiming for comfy modern country. Any thoughts?

Comments (34)I feel it needs a bit of breathing space between mirror and mantle. Maybe 10 - 15 cm. You can maybe prop something under it to raise it a bit and see how that looks. Be careful you don't break it.
