Comments (1)Your lighting isn't helping as they are pendant lights going straight down and not bouncing the light around. The only things i'd change are the flooring to something light, the tiles ( dated ) and the worktops. If you went for glass in aqua to match the rest of the room and painted white above to match the ceiling it would immediately lift the room. Change the worktops to something like an ivory quartz with reflective qualities and put in strip lights on the ceiling and undercounter lights. Comments (13)I would lose the wooden counter top and pull out larder. Put the hob next door but one to the sink with an extractor above. This will break up the run of wall units. Also think about when you are cooking pasta, filling up a saucepan with water and then draining it. You don't need to cross the room. Where you going to put bin, dishwasher and microwave? I would agree you need more drawers. I love my new pan drawers they hold alot. But my pull out larder does not and things fall down the back all the time. Also when you are taking something out of the oven, where are you going to put it? 6 years agoHere’s an update half way through.
Walls are done in dulux swansdown.
Door and architrave dulux white satin.
The island is little green ceviche.
The wall cupboards are not finished but being done in Neptune shell.
Should I get the painter to do the island in shell instead to match wall cabinet? Or possibly shingle?
