Comments (13)I wouldn’t go for polished tiles - nightmare to keep clean (apparently) according to a couple I met who don’t even have kids or a dog to encourage the muck Love the wood effect flooring with your room and it really would warm it all up. I presume it’s the vinyl tiles you are looking at rather than a large tool of vinyl? Lots of people on here have both UFH with the vinyl tiles and say it’s great! Bear in mind that the vinyl will be warmer to touch in winter and summer than any tiles without the UFH on - so that’s worth considering in case you are like us and don’t have the heating on 24/7...See MoreSuitable colours to lighten dark kitchen worktop
Comments (5)Hi Elizabeth, I proposed a colour scheme for you as that is usually where people struggle to "match" the granite. I proposed Farrow & Ball Colours but most paint counters will match to Farrow & Ball Anyway, if you want to keep costs down. I included two options for the lower half. You said you wanted to keep it light and the wall and top cabinet colour I proposed would work below as well. I just thought it would be nice to have a darker colour option just in case you changed your mind. Don't forget that high gloss surfaces will bounce light around the room. This means that lighting and the type of finish you propose will be critical to the end result. Also be ware if you are painting the cupboards yourself that silk paint will show up every imperfection! I hope this helped you. Good luck! Jo x...See Moreshould the floor colour match the worktop?

'Greige' engineered boards would create a subtle base, complementing the colour of the units and the walls, while adding a touch of warmth too. Here are some ideas for when you come to the end of living vicariously through your vinyl :) Dune Oak Chepstow Planed Grey Oak Raglan White Smoked Oak You can take a closer look at any of these with free samples from our website.
