Need help for rugs on under floor heating
Comments (2)It's true that rugs reduce the heat from the floor for underfloor heating, but you can put them on it. We have rugs in our living room and hall and have no problems with heating the rooms. They used to say you couldn't carpet over underfloor heating but now people do, with the right underlay. Just make sure you are not covering all (or most of the floor and it'll be fine)...See MoreNeed help with sisal rugs
Comments (2)Hello decor178, Yes I do really like natural flooring.... Sisal, Jute or Coir.. They are all very nice underfoot... Do a bit of research and get a few samples to see what you like... I'd also want to suggest you go with something that is close to the floor colour if you have natural wooden floor as this blends more and doesn't create a focus or spatially make the room smaller.. That though is just my aesthetic preference... See what you think.. :))...See MoreDo we need a rug?
Comments (23)At the moment the space looks in need of something, a rug would be perfect but a coffee table would also help fill the space out more. The suggested rug from celerygirl looks perfect, it has incorporated all the accents from the paintings on the wall and unites the room perfectly. Your light fixture is so beautiful and quirky! Having a glass top coffee table beneath it would look wonderful in the evening with the reflection of the lights! Not to mention, during the day you outdoor light will still fill the space through the glass. Hope this helps and good luck designing!...See MoreDoes my lounge need a rug
Comments (12)I love your living room as it is... and whilst a rug is not entirely necessary, I do agree with some other comments that a rug would add a finishing touch. If you do decide to buy a rug, I would suggest one in an accent colour rather than beige or grey - perhaps in the same green shade as your cushions and throws. A large rug will lift the area, bring it together (with your accent green furnishings and the planting) and also saves your expensive carpet from spills, so it can be rather practical! Also... your hubby shouldn't trip over it if it is large enough to go under the feet of your furniture... A small rug will make the room cluttered, but a large one will create a sense of co-ordination. Hope this helps and congratulations on your lovely living room design....See MoreCelery.
