Could you advise on paint colours please?

I am 2/3 of the way through a building project. I am at the point where I need to choose lighting, flooring, carpets, thresholds, outdoor lights... It's all a bit much!

On our ground floor we have added an open plan space which will house our kitchen, dining and a family area. I need to choose the colour for this room tonight or tomorrow as it is being painted on Wednesday. To say I am flying by the seat of my pants is an understatement!

Ideally I would like the end result to looks like this Humphrey Munson Georgian kitchen.

The problem is I am really rubbish with colours. Really rubbish. This weekend I have painted sample sheets in delux timeless, little greene clock face, crown sail away amongst others. Does anyone know of any colours which help me achieve the look above please? I have gone through lots of comments on the Humphrey Munson instagram page asking about paint colours and they have their own paint colours from Mylands. I would be so grateful for any advice. I'm starting to panic!

Have you looked at the 4 slaked lime shades by little greene? Depends on the light how they come out. For warmer go rolling fog, cooler, French grey

Perhaps look at strong white, ammonite and purbeck stone. Colours will differ however depending on the orientation of the room and the amount of light coming through, reflective colour etc. The walls in the pic look as if they have a blue undertone but assume that's the light. It would also help to see exactly what's going in the room

I think your best bet is to pick out a muted but light tile colour and be liberal with it. Think about the odd pop of green or blue or something else radical from the opposite side of the colour wheel to lift the whole scene - just some inexpensive kitchen accessories.

Hopefully I can find one like yours Sonia, but don't know how as I can't even trust the reviews anymore. He did forget to pass the second coat in 2 walls in the upstairs bathroom and left a big mess in a wall in my room which he repaired part of it because I told him. I get he is a handyman not a plasterer and decorator but he advertises on his page he has over 35 years experience in plastering and painting, so the job should be at an acceptable standard. Colourhappy, thank you for responding, it gave me confidence to ask him to re do the plastering. At the end he accepted a reduced price, myself and my partner will finish the job!

Dorsey I haven’t but i’ll look tomorrow.

Purbeck stone definitely works in our house. We’ve chosen it for the vanity unit in our ensuite. It would be too dark in the extension though. I’ll look at Strong white and Ammonite tomorrow.

For our worktops i’ve chosen caesarstone frosty carrina. These pendants over the island

It all depends on the light levels, aspect, flooring etc. Have you any photos?

I spent a lot of time testing colours today and I think I have some possibilities that work with the light.

Sorry, I never came back to my post as I really had to find a paint. It was (minor) panic stations at the start of the week. I settled on wimborne white on three of the walls and then the designers guild cantucci on one wall. It looks really lovely. I not need to decide on kitchen cabinet colours. I've got a bit of time to do that though. Thank you for all of your suggestions. It was really helpful.
