Incredible Loft Conversion Breathes New Life Into Home
With a baby on the way, this Bromley family knew they needed to add some space to their home. A loft conversion with Opun created a stunning new master bedroom, a separate room for the baby, and a specially designed new bathroom. Just what this family needed to start the next phase of their lives! Impressive large skylights bathe the loft in stunning natural light, creating a magnificent minimalist aesthetic and a permanent aura of tranquility. The stunning new master bedroom bathed in magnificent natural light thanks to two impressive skylights. Plenty of room for mummy, daddy and baby!
The completed staircase fully equipped with oakwood bannisters. The open hallway allows light to filter down from the loft, giving the entire home a new lease of life.
The baby's new room! Beautiful stencil art adds a whimsical fairytale element to the warm and fresh environment. The eye grabbing feature of the room is, of course, that incredible skylight.

Comments (8)Hi A couple of thoughts on your options; Loft conversions can be a great way to increase habitable space but they can sometimes be mistaken as a cheaper option -there is usually a lot of work involved in doing it properly. Also a loft conversion can be quite invasive, it is often easy to overlook the amount of space required at first floor level to accommodate the staircase to the next floor - if space is tight, sometimes this can result in a double room becoming a single or even losing a single room. Adding a third floor to the house will mean that you will have to replace all of the doors to rooms that open onto the hall and landing with fire doors. It is worth remembering that replacing the conservatory with an extension might require planning. The local planning authority might be prepared to discuss the requirement with you, but you design consultant will be able to advise. Have you tried the Find A Pro section of Houzz? its worth a look to see if there are any consultants in your area. If it looks like they do house extension work its worth messaging them - even if they don't have a photo of a project similar to yours, they may well undertake such commission but didn't photograph it. Comments (41)Looks good :) I don't know whether it fits but could the piano go in the radiator corner (although not right in) facing the other way? I might just try painting the picture frames personally. If you've got any left over paint I'd also just paint the radiators in the wall emulsion and see what you think. I don't know whether this would work structurally plus you may hate them (!) but I feel like a hanging chair could work next to the tv. It would need to be a slimmish one and I'd go for one that doesn't visually feel the space too much...See More- PRO
