Hi Glen, The size and shape of your space is not dissimilar to many we refurbish, and you do have pleant of options. As "bubbles" suggests, Mereway, Trend (and many others) offer ranges of standalone and built in furniture which would be ideal for your needs. Do you have a budget in mind? If so, to have some insight into that would help to advise on how to get most bang for your buck. To give an idea of what I would recommend: - Remove existing suite and radiator. -Remove existing tiling, re-plasterboard and skim -Install a "Square P" (sometimes called L shape) bath of 850 x 1700, wide end at door end of room with new screen and shower. At "window end", box in from end of bath to wall, possibly with an open shelf unit above -replace flooring with either a good quality vinyl, palio-click or tile flooring -at window end of bathroom, install 600 wide vanity unit with rectangular basin on top on the left (next to boxed in section) with a "concealed cistern" and back to wall WC to the right of that, filled to the boxed in section on the right - see image below (sorry it is small and grainy) -fit a mirrored wall storage unit on the right hand wall above a modern, chrome towel rail/warmer Wrt tiling - I would be tempted to only tile in the bath "corner" with a small splashback of tiles behind the run of furniture along the window wall Colours and finish are always very personal, but I would be tempted by walnut and white with quite square fixtures & fittings (taps, showerhead, radiator etc.) to complement the clean lines of the furniture and bathroom. If you wanted me to "mock up" the above ideas in CAD, I'd be happy to do so free of charge over the weekend (a quick task!), and we could give you a feel for costs. Hello `Sarah, I think the kitchen is fantastic!!! Please keep it!!! So I have some suggestions.. I think it has some great elements.. The design and colour of the cupboards plus those tiles are really fabulous, also love the floor too.. I'd keep it all!!! The top cupboards are gr8 without glass and your image is very different and dare I say not nearly so interesting.. Maybe you can celebrate the uniqueness of it! Minnie is right to suggest moving the cabinets closer to the ceiling (it has been lowered in part but I would leave it as is) easily done without damage and you can move the boiler in line with them.. .. This is a gr8 idea as it will feel a little more open and spacious.. you could then paint above the tiles a lovely warm chalky white or off white.. and any other wall areas.. It will balance the units out and I would definitely keep the colour the same here top and bottom... If you don't want to change the current configuration too much and keep costs down, I would buy a free standing chrome range oven like Smeg dual fuel and extractor Aeg angled hood and fit in same place as current oven.. Dualit toaster and kettle Bugatti Vera in chrome.. Angled extractor hood Aeg and a smeg 50's white fridge would be nice here too! With the fridge I feel it could stand at the end of the counter top.. Leave the sink exactly as it is and the boiler too, all you then need to do is put a cabinet shell and door on the front of the opening where fridge was and paint it and the bits of cabinet that are white to the shade of yellow and voila! Anther storage space for the dishwasher. I would move that metal shelf or add another if you like it.. .. Add a polycarbonate pendant Creatures by Nigel Coates which would look amazing with the kitchen.. Also the kitchen is definitely not past it!!! (added that bit after reading the comment further down) : ))

Better use a smaller sink to gain more workspace (45cm unit). And some extra units (be it 40cm deep) to place toaster, coffemachine, etc. Can't suggest a builder nor costs, as I'm in the Netherlands. I sell Rotpunkt kitchens at work (good quality at a 'reasonable' price), but have an ikea kitchen at home. Husband and I both have a technical background and budget is tight, so we diy most of our home improvements. Where is the 3 meter wall in your layout? Did I read the measurements wrong?

Hi, if you did that, the box would be a very prominent feature and unless the box was the same width as the window sill you would have one surface slightly wider than the other which would look unbalanced so ideally I would leave around 100mm - 150mm between the two surfaces as in the photo. That said, it does depend on the height of the window sill from the floor. These details can be difficult to call which is why we use software and get a 3D visualisation. In answer to your second question, yes you could use chrome or satin nickel finish strip or a glass pencil tile to finishes the top of a tile very nicely and avoid that awkward edge created with a ceramic tile. You could use the strip on its own or with a mosaic of some sort - the pink and grey scheme was an Art Deco style set we did for a bathroom showroom. Chrome strip is versatile and can be used to add that touch of sparkle to an otherwise neutral and understated scheme .

That good software design is great, I asked a company to develop something similar for me and it stayed similar but I had more options in the menu for interior modeling thanks to these dedicated development team that helped me finish the project.
