Help me choose the perfect table for my kitchen
Comments (6)Hi. I agree with emanuelle. I'd go for an old wooden table and mix it with contemporary chairs. If the walls are going white then add either colour with the chairs (a mix could also be good) or texture. I'd go for a rectangular table rather than circle. You can pick up contemporary chairs cheaply on ebay...See MorePlease help me choose lights for my
Comments (11)I think three would look more aesthetically pleasing. How about copper? It is very popular at the moment, but still has that lovely country look which would look fab in your kitchen. I also like the enamel look rather like your example, but white would be a little too safe? Any colour would look good as your kitchen is nice and neutral. For something a bit difference Laura Ashley do a double light fitting with a horizontal rod with two lights hanging from it. I’d send you a pic but don’t know how to! It’s quite pricey, but my friend bought a similar one in chrome for £30 from Ikea!...See MoreHelp me choose a curtain please!!
Comments (6)Love the wallpaper, very classical. Is this a patio door opening to the garden? How much natural light does the room get? These factors influence your choice of fabric eg if u get a lot of sun don’t get a silk material as the sun will damage it. If you don’t get a lot of sun go for a fabric that will help bounce light around eg something with a sheen. Get a fabric that doesn’t ‘bunch’ around the door otherwise it will get in the way as you enter and exit and get tatty. Think about the curtain fixings and the space available above the door and window. Think about the headings you like. In terms of colour, cream and beige are neutral colours (but be aware whether they are cool or warm shades) so you could compliment with colours blue-violet, red, cool blue green - if u buy a colour wheel from amazon (very cheap) you will see how best to pair colours. As curtains are expensive, buy these first and then choose accessories like mirrors as black is a statement and you need to be confident the colours will be complementary. The curtain factory in Finchley London used to offer good bargains. Best of luck....See Morehelp choosing dining table please
Comments (30)Yes we laid the new table top on top of our old table but didn’t attach the new legs as we spotted a chip in the table side (packaging was damaged). Unfortunately Mr LTS only took this one photo - what do you think? It was so sunny outside we closed some of the blinds but the sun made the room hazy so I think I need to get the table out again. Typically it isn’t sunny now! My next post will be suggestions for cushions for the sofas!...See Moremahanwar
