Depends on the mechanism but if the door doesn’t get scratched or scraped then there’s no reason why wallpaper should either. A problem worth mentioning tho is that the edges of the wallpaper would remain visible. Photo below shows a screen I bodged together from some old wardrobe doors and I wallpapered them both sides, notice the white edges of the paper. Only way I can think of overcoming this is to have the wallpaper slightly inset and paint a border round the edge. I would also use decorators varnish on top of the wallpaper to protect from dirt and and the odd scuff or two. A vinyl decal (wall/door sticker) would definitely work tho, and far easier to apply.

Any ideas what this wall paper pattern is ?

Hi, Just starting renovation and need to match some of this wallpaper to save having to redecorate hall and stairs, have checked the attic and no rolls left over from previous owner :( have looked at this Wallpaper site and there is one close but still probably different enough to notice. Any ideas where else could look or any ideas on what name of pattern could be to better google search for a match. Many thanks, Lawrence

If I had to wallpaper one wall, I would do the wall that I see first, when I enter the room. However, looking at the pictures, I would go with wallpapering all the walls in the room. Half wallpaper and half wall panels is another option. Hope it helps. Neha www.expressionbydesign.co.uk

It is lighter since we extended the room and installed a larger window - it was originally the "box room". However, it doesn't get any sun, hence the reason for the yellow based wallpaper. As lovely as the wallpaper is, I think it would be too busy on all four walls, but thank you for your suggestion.
