Help with my dull lounge!
Comments (37)Hi there, We think you have created a lovely lounge, and you should be very proud of what you have done so far as it has been put together very tastefully. The only thing we think you are missing to complete the look and add character are those all important Accessories! Often forgotten and always missed when they are. Looking at your Blue and Neutral colour scheme we would recommend introducing a contemporary cream rug by Eichholtz, select the dimension that will be big enough for the front feet of the sofa to ideally fit onto the rug! https://www.pavilionbroadway.co.uk/eichholtz-wilton-rug.html We would also recommend adding a touch of colour by painting your fireplace wall in Parma Grey by Farrow & Ball. Then.... what the room would really benefit with is a pair of paintings or limited edition prints. I have included a pair that we have available of Orchids to show you the idea in the quick collage that we have created for you. https://www.pavilionbroadway.co.uk/home-accessories/art-and-antiques/prints/kelly-cutter-orchid-print.html We hope this helps and if you would like to find out about some of these ideas or products please do give us a call and one of our designers would be happy to assist you! 01386 711512. Comments (28)In my opinion the round chair takes a lot of space, but if you want to keep it you have to declutter the area even more. As said above, the photos on the feature wall are not necessary. If you remove them entirely I think it would look better. I also think that you don't need the side table there. You could either have the chair or the side table, but not both in that corner. The big coffee table takes a lot of space and closes the room. I would suggest removing both the big coffee table and the matching side table and having the little yellow/green round table as your coffee table. It goes lovely with the cushions and the sofa. You can put a slim modern floor standing lamp between the chair and the sofa if light is needed in this corner. You do have some great furniture pieces and features in these room. Keep it simple and airy! That will bring the style in....See MoreHelp me make it a little more cozy/homley
Comments (3)Hi, it looks lovely but I agree, curtains or blinds would make a huge difference. Maybe curtains at the patio doors and a roman blind at the smaller window. I would also add some more cushions if you can get some more. The curtains/blinds would certainly soften the room and make it less sterile. Good luck. its looks great so far!...See MorePlease help me make my lounge a contemporary space
Comments (6)I'm at the end of renovating a whole house and if you're anything at all like me you are probably skint by now! And like you I'm running low on ideas too. Looking at your room I might be tempted to temporarily finish it off by not spending too much money and have it ready for Christmas telly lounging! Then maybe next year (or later ) when you're up for it finish off however you're inspired. So I'd put Ikea shelves above the TVs and paint all of it dark. Having said that I've got loads of books and they always make rooms look good! I'd also keep the fire for now and put book shelves low down the wall and put plenty of artwork above....See MoreJuliet Docherty
