Closet Doors for a small walkin!

i need some ideas regarding closet doors. i have a small walk in wardrobe, quite squarish surrounded by gypsum walls and so is the soffit. can you please liad dome photos of practical closet doors for a small space?

Hi

Usually, if the room is very small, I would leave the doors off altogether (if you have doors into the walk-in wardrobe).

With such a small space, hinged doors are not really practical and they will drive you insane. Personally, if I wanted to add doors, I would add something like sliding smoked glass.

But I think the best option is still to have the door into the room, especially if space is tight.

A photo of the type of doors I would use (but these are showing it into the entry, I would use them tight to the wardrobe).

It depends how small the space is ,

Sliding doors are great solution if the space to hide is at last a meter.

Personally I would leave it with no doors if space is tight

I think you've possibly confused bedroom 3 and bedroom 4. The plan should read like this:- Bedroom 4 is the smallest at the top of the plan. Therefore, combining bedroom 1 and bedroom 3 ( to make a dressing room ) takes up half of upstairs and leaves you with one further double and a single bedroom. You are correct, that fitting a walk-in into bedroom 1 isn't possible. It's not the best use of space. Also cutting down the amount of space and leaving the above will probably de-value the home. However, there is an alternative ( and i'm sure more than one ), the following is mine. However, it requires a large amount of alterations, and I would always recommend running plans past estate agents for comments on value, before starting anything involving losing a bedroom. The above gives you a lovely size Master Suite with En-Suite and walk in closet. It also gives a good Family Bathroom and leaves a further two Double rooms.

Phew, that was like watching paint dry! Wrong sized photos. Hey ho, ever onwards. At the moment, the shower is on the right as you walk in but water tends to splash against the window which is why I was thinking of scrapping the bath altogether and having a walk in shower on the left as you enter through the door. with the shower on the wall where the pictures are at the moment. The marble wall that you can see is actually sticky back paper - I just wanted to see what it looked like and it certainly lightens the room up to a massive extent. The previous colour was turquoise.

oh brilliant! that seems the most logical use of the space especially if you dont want a bank of fitted wardrobes inside the room itself. It will make the Bed space effectively smaller but possibly give you more interesting spaces and more storage. Also as long as the window infront of the bed is big enough the room wont feel small.

Hi, I'd make your ensuite bigger. A 75cm squared shower is not fun. I'd go for at least 100 x 100cm. The bedroom is very generous compared to the ensuite and WIR. Considering your bed is unlikely to be longer than 200cm, then you won't need 150cm to walk around it. I'd give 50cm or more to the ensuite. And I think you won't be able to fit a cavity slider in that wall between the ensuite and WIR. I'd think about a shower up in the space you have the vanity. Then the WC next to it, with the back of the loo on the right wall. And the vanity/basin on the wall where you show the shower. So you see the vanity first when walking in. Other option is swap the shower and WC around. You can put a hinged door here, opening against the WC or shower as you can (if you want) close the door when they are being used. Another 50cm depth to the WIR will make a difference to your storage too.
