Bedroom colour scheme dilemma!
Comments (5)Yes of course, with us it's actually pretty simple because we sell the bed as a whole, so you have the headboard and base. The base can either be a bedstead (with wooden feet) or a divan base that can come with drawers. A Kingsize upholstered bedstead costs around £600 but the price will depend a little on what bed design you go for. Have a look at our website for more info or feel free to give us a call, we'd be happy to help! http://www.buttonandsprung.com/upholstered-beds/ or showroom 03333 201 801....See MoreLounge/living room fire and wall colour dilemma
Comments (8)Hi Sian! I would not recommend painting the wall red or green as per se. If you have a small room and furniture is red/green you need to be careful with wall colour, I suggest keeping it as neutral as possible. Soft/dark grey is a safe choice and looks good in contrast to red. It would be good to see the rest of the furniture for a better perspective, perhaps you can take photos with your phone? Check out the option below for colours. Considering your description of the room, I would think about Fashionable grey or Moroccan brown (disregard the blue and brick colours) ? See below the options, from this palette you can also think about grey owl or similar....See MoreIs a rug going to be too much?
Comments (6)Hi Sian, If the rug is fairly neutral and compliments the rest of the soft furnishings, it can work really well to put a rug on to a carpet. Perhaps, a thin rug in a solid neutral colour like this [one[(https://www.houzz.co.uk/products/linie-asko-rug-off-white-170x240-cm-prvw-vr~112200967). I've also seen some really nice examples of bright colored rugs looking great on carpet, I have attached an example [here[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/penthouse-duplex-west-chelsea-nyc-contemporary-home-office-new-york-phvw-vp~60785744). I think it depends a lot on taste, but it's definitely important to get something waring if it's going to protect the carpet underneath from wear and tear. Hope this is helpful. Comments (13)My twopenneth..... I usually love a good painting update but here I'm definitely with the don't paint Houzzers above. I think the devil is in the detail with this one and you've got the bones of a nice spa feel bathroom space here. Agree you should change the toilet seat to white and consider painting the window frame white too. You could always think about covering the floor with a tile effect vinyl (black and white) for an update there. Complement this with some black and white artwork. The brown tiles will help warm the monochrome look and then like others say its largely about those finishing touches. Some inspiration pics below. The last one is far too cluttered for my taste but gives some idea of how you might tackle some storage, dressing of the room and flooring idea. Good luck...See MoreSven
