Luxurious en-suite bathroom OR Walk in wardrobe and small en-suite.
Comments (7)It really comes down to how many clothes you have and how much space you need to store them, along with where you prefer to get dressed and how you use your ensuite - obviously no point having double sink if you never share the bathroom, but if you're brushing your teeth while the other half is doing their thing in the next sink then this bigger ensuite might work better for you. It all depends on how you want to live, how much stuff you have and where you want to store it. I've created a checklist that helps with a lot of the foundational decision making that you need to make when you're planning a redesign project, so you might find this useful. You can get it plus a few guidance emails here: https://bit.ly/2P1quQ6 Hope this helps, Jane, i-architect.co.uk...See MoreEn-suite - Walk in wardrobe design dilemma
Comments (10)Thanks so much for taking the time to respond Jonathan, I really appreciate the input. My husband is kind of set on a balcony as we can see the river and he wants to be able to sit there with a cup of tea 😜. I don’t mind either way really, I just didn’t want to have chairs in the bedroom as I thought that would look odd? Your ideas have brought up an issue in my mind though about the balcony/possible seating for this view and the fact that we will need to keep moving it around when we open and close the doors. With the side window, the house is under a national trust covenant and so the side window is really there to look a little more aesthetically pleasing and to match downstairs. I know it seems to waste that whole wall though....See MoreIs the master bedroom too small for an En-suite
Comments (8)Thanks for all your replies - I really appreciate it. We do currently need all four bedrooms as we have 3 children. Whether it is our forever home really depends on how much we can expand. It is a semi detached 1930s property. The current owners have already extended to the side to create a fourth bedroom downstairs and have extended to the rear for a bigger kitchen. We are hoping to eventually extend on top of the current side extension - I'm guessing if we did that we could make bedroom four bigger and build in to it to create the en-suite? Here is the whole floor plan...See MoreMAster bedroom/en-suite/wardrobe extension
Comments (2)If you can extend to 7m its definitely worth extending to maximise the space. A good way to do layouts is cut out little templates of a toilet, sink, shower/tub, king-size bed etc then you will be able to work out how much space you will need to achieve what you are hoping for....See MoreBilly
