Paint wall colour to go with gloss grey units

I think I‘be bought 20 paint samples since Saturday - f&b and Dulux. We’ve just built a single storey extension which incorporates a kitchen,utility room and downstairs loo. The kitchen has 2 rooflights, mid grey units, white quartz sparkly worktops. Flooring is going to be grey slate but what about walls. I started off wanting colourful but the worktop Upstand is about 10cm high

i like dulux Dove white (like f&b strong white) and f&b dimpse. Has anyone used f&b blackened with grey units? My husband wants a blue colour between wall and base units (Dulux drift). I’m not keen.

any advice welcome please?

Hi, Kitchen looks awesome. I like to go for f&b cornforth white, really is a subtle colour which allows the kitchen to really stand out. But it’s enough of a colour to add some interest and not just white. The blues looks nice but personally I find them all quite cold looking.

River white granite is very similar to the splashback in the last photo.... the thing is we have in our mind to have a grey kitchen and everyone is saying you can't have all gray. our last house had alot of brown and beige, tan, cream etc, no one mentioned we needed gray to break that up LOL, and while I appreciate that those colours are warm, and gray and white are cool, this is an extremely warm and sunny house, lots of patio doors, often I think I've left a light on. So I think I can get away with gray and white without having to still drag brown in ..? If i add colour right. and by colour I mean red, teal, mustard... not brown! Which is a neutral IMO I think we will go ahead with the kitchen and leave the walls white for now and put floor samples down to decide.... then add accent colour organically.

Herbie, basically anything goes well with a light grey vanity unit! Now I think you have a good point there. Choosing a deeper neutral sounds good. I’m a fan of colour and I have a Dulux minty green in my kitchen, F&B Cromarty in my sitting room, Dulux Egyptian Cotton in the bedroom and aqua in the other bedroom. All these shades are soft though so not garish, apart from a navy feature wall in kitchen. Dulux do some lovely neutral shades like Perfectly Taupe, Chic Shadow and Polished Pebble. Of course colours are affected by the light in the room and those sort of shades can look a bit grim in a dark north facing room. PERFECTLY TAUPE CHIC SHADOW POLISHED PEBBLE

Hi your kitchen looks really nice
You could of gone for a full splash back would defo look better
Imagine the big space you have on the floor the dark slate will make the kitchen look smaller specially if you go for a darker colour in the wall
