Flooring Design Dilemma Bedrooms

I'm looking for ideas for carpet for my stairs, landing and bedrooms

The main colour on the stairs is light grey with Neutral colours in bedrooms, I'm looking for carpets ideas for the stairs and landing using the same carpet colour in bedrooms. Hall flooring is cream laminate and bedrooms have Egyptian cotton wall paint. I would like to lift the colour and was thinking of a blue but nothing to dark

any colour ideas please

Have a look at the Valentina range in Carpetright, comes in different patterns to suit. You could have a patterned in the bedrooms and a plain co-ordinating in the Hallways and stairs.

Personally I’d go for neutral carpets, they should in theory last a lot longer than paint then you’re not so tied to a colour palette when you want to change a room. I’d lift the neutral walls with accent colours for art and accessories and plants will also add some life

You've got a great space to work with there, lovely hallway with nice light, a vista through to the back and a lovely traditional staircase. If you like the style I would say it just needs a new stair runner and a lick of paint. Have a look at Roger Oates wool stair runners - these are all the rage for this kind of setting at the moment, some gorgeous colours available. Then maybe you could coordinate with some artwork you like to go on the walls and choose a neutral wall paint that works with the colours. You could go all white with the stair bannister, but maybe not if it already works with your colour scheme. Then think about how you could "style up" the view to the back of the house. Another thing to consider is lighting accessories to create a nice welcoming ambience at night. Hope this helps :)

With white woodwork, I suggest painting the walls and woodwork in semi-gloss white. White woodwork and walls will make the space visually larger, and semi-gloss paint reflects light and is easy to clean.

It would be really useful to post a few photos. A lot depends on the actual space, but also the exact colour of the carpet and tiles. I don't think I would go for pure white with quarry tiles, it could look a bit harsh. Earthy stoney colours could work well with quarry tiles.

Thanks so much everyone for your advice I really appreciate your replies. T. Willow I love that herringbone pattern too I love herringbone. I should probably have said we have 4 children under 7 so if we are going with wool needs to be practical as poss to hide stains which we thought stripe might manage. Daisy do you mind me asking what colour paint you have on the walls with this carpet? We have Dimity in master and it’s far too brown. Thanks. We have a 'digestive biscuit' colour up the stairs and in all bedrooms, hard floors downstairs. Goes with pretty much anything...............all our walls are in the middle of being changed to Cl.unch. Different Accent colours in each bedroom though.
