How would you design this bedroom? I want it calm, cosy & bright :)
Comments (36)Gone through my album of our very own decorating therapy journey and found these. I hope you can see the roller black-out in the first photo, it's tucked inside the recess of the window. The Duette is a peachy colour which looks a lot lighter colour in the north-facing sun. The one in the five panel window is the room below, it does not have the roller blind but the curtains are black out. They are not as efficient in blocking out light as the roller in recess though. the curtains are from Hamilton McBride, only reason i got them were because not many wide (350cm) curtains are cheaply available on Amazon... If your room is not too cold, you can also consider wooden venetian, mine is in white colour as you can see from the 'blue room' (it's F&B's new Vardo btw), which is on the ground floor of the north facing side. 247 does oak colour too. Many neighbours asked us where we got those from!! They look great at a good price - those two windows cost me just under a £100 - but they are not the most energy efficient. They are okay blocking out light but if you have it in the south-facing room, it might not be quite enough. Do go to 247blinds and request some free samples, it's worth a try. Hope this helps! ;)...See MoreBlush pink color for bedroom
Comments (5)Hi Maggie, I love the fact you are considering a pale blush pink tone for your walls. I love this colour and it works so well with almost anything this season, and is so on trend. I really like the combination of blush pink with grey, navy and minty green - I think this could really create something special in your space. I love Dulux Sicilian Summer 6, however for a paler shade, why not have a look at Dulux Burnt Autumn 6? This is my favourite pastel pink and would recommend it for you as it has a beautiful atmospheric blush pink tone, really pale and feminine, so it’ll be sure to uplift the room and give a calming tranquil effect. Another beautiful blush tone alternative which has a slight undertone of grey, would be Oyster cove 6. Also, for a cleaner brighter blush pink, have a look at Sweet Sundae 6. Our new Amazing Space paint allows you to order 3 free tester pots on us, so feel free to order a selection of your favourites and see for yourself what will work for you! https://paint.duluxamazingspace.co.uk/colour/reds-and-pinks/muted Best of luck with your decorating and I’d love to see photos of what you decide to do. Comments (14)The wardrobes are a very traditional colour, so any other element which is also perceived as traditional may look a little 'staid'. I would consider a palette like this. Paint and Paper library Desert Rose is a lovely dirty pink beige which looks great with stronger teracotta accents and cleaner pinks. It would work with the purple colour of the wardrobe. Anything taupe would go flooring wise, just not orangey oak or pine....See MoreWhat would you match F&B Skimming Stone with in a bedroom?
Comments (3)I have Skimming Stone on bedroom walls with taupe blinds and duck egg accessories - it works well. Lots of different colours look good with S Stone IMO.....See MoreDaisy England
