Colour scheme for kitchen

looking for advice for my new kitchen. going with ivory cabinets and a wooden laminate worktop possibly walnut. What flooring would look well with this? we were thinking of a wooden floor but concerned it may be difficult with a wooden worktop. open to tiles too but we have a toddler so need to keep this in mind to ensure tiles not too slippery such as high gloss. Any advice welcome!

Just wondering if a wood effect tile would work for you, as it has a grain in it and you wouldn't slip so easily. Obviously it depends on your style, but Tile Mountain have a good range. These vintage ones I really like, and they kind of go with anything as they've got all sorts of colours in them. Not for everyone, but I like them. They have others!!

If you went for a honed tile, such as slate, that would work well in a kitchen environment and wouldn't be slippy. There are also lots of other non slip floor tile options, take a look at Mandarin Stone, they have a great range, Another option is a coloured vinyl rubber flooring from someone like the colour flooring company.

Hi. The kitchen looks a very different colour online! I'm assuming you don't want much contrast with the units based on the colour pics? You're going to need a warm grey but it may take some time to find the right one :( I would start with farrow and ball skimming stone (pic shows it in a north facing room), slipper satin and ammonite. I think you can afford to go darker on that dining wall, have you considered a textured wallpaper, faux grasscloth etc? Based on your first pic you like neutrals mixed with lots of texture so you could go for greige sofa (maybe a shade or 2 lighter than walls/kitchen) and then add your colour plus different shades of the greige from really light to fairly dark with different textures for cushions, throw and accessories. Alternatively you could go for a blush pink or duck egg sofa. Plants, herbs, flowers will lift the room. Perhaps add a really large mirror where the sofas are to make it feel wider and bounce light.

The greys in the photo above do have a hint of blue in them so they won't clash with the worktop. If you want to be safe use the light grey with new handles, but if you want to be adventurous then paint the lower cabinets in the dark grey with new handles and paint the walls, shelves and tiles in the light grey to get the two tone look. The floor looks to be a laminate floor if you had the budget I would change it to a white tile effect lino to add some balance. I would also suggest binning the window dressings if the owner leaves them as the nets block out a lot of natural light.
