Hi,

Always difficult to see the exact colours on a photo, but I'm thinking that something like this would work, in Storm or Putty and perhaps a blue accent wall. But do always get samples home first.

Hi Katie - Congratulations on the imminent arrival! Friends have just bought their 1st house, another is starting a home Bridal business and both have babies and toddlers - I take my hat off to them. Went to the 1st home yesterday and Emily has decorated almost half of the house - white,white white and it's so refreshing. She'll get round to it as time allows adding art later as she finds and can afford it. I admired 3 amazing pieces of framed art in the kitchen, and was stunned to find her 3 year old painted them! For the future I think it's a lovely thing to do as opposed to just sticking bits of paper onto the wall. So... I agree that getting started before the birth is terrific and, with regard to the hallway, which I'm assuming is entrance, and depending on the size available, a box for outdoor shoes would be good - perhaps white wicker? Oblong? Have a look at Wayfair and in particular Naeve Leuchten for lighting ideas. It's all there. Achica is a site I use often for fabulous reduced price bargains. They only order from the distributor when the deal closes so you may have to wait, but there's always a rough guide as to when delivery would be. I'm sure that when your gorgeous wallpaper is up and the hall is both decorated and dressed you'll see which mirror is right. Perhaps the black framed mirror would look fine above the console??? Maybe the other one could be placed directly at the top of the stairs to reflect the hall or - random - on the door??? The 'THREE' thing relates to gardening - three or five pots/bushes etc, but a lamp, a trinket/key tray and then maybe a low vase would follow this rule too. Good luck with all of this - sorry the lengthy reply has taken you away from decorating, so go girl, pick up the brush and open the paint pots! Thanks for the photos. Sometimes it is hard to envisage a room from a written description. It is usual to feature wallpaper the wall behind a bed, but there’s a window so not ideal. Is there room to move the bed to the other wall to the left at all so the feet face the radiator? If the room is too narrow to do this, then I think papering the long wall with the radiator would work. Then you can paint the radiator the same colour as the wallpaper to help it blend a bit better.

Hmm, now I am not sure what to suggest. The space looks much more open here than in your original photos. I don't think that painting out the left hand wall [currently papered] will help. After all, what colour would you choose? The grey on the stairs will just make it feel closed in, I think. However, what about embracing the wallpaper and changing the grey for a pale pink or pale sage green that will tone with the paper? This will lighten the space and avoid the harsh contrast where the paint and paper meet. I guess it all depends on how much your husband loves the paper! If you decide to go for all out paint I'd definitely go for something lighter than the grey. By the way, is the carpet on the stairs lighter than that in the hallway, or is it just the photos?

What a great space, love the Crittal doors. I’d definitely go light, white ceiling and walls with brilliant white gloss skirting to show off the flooring. On the “mirror” wall I’d put wall paper to add interest and bring in the dark blue of the neighbouring kitchen. There are so many patterns to choose from. The space has a modern feel with a nod to previous eras with parquet type floor and black glazing so I’d look at the William Morris design range of Wallpapers - old traditional style with amazing patterns and colours relevant to today. good luck
