Position of heated towel radiator
Comments (1)This sounds like a tricky little project. If you haven't already, perhaps it may be worth considering an electric heated towel rail, that way you need not worry about pipework and plumbing. We have a selection here - http://www.bestheating.com/heated-towel-rails/electric-heated-towel-rails.html As for the material to affix it to, that will of course depend upon the size of HTR you go for, but many HTRs are quite lightweight without compromising on build quality. For more info on HTR installation please contact info@bestheating.com - our trade team will be able to tell you what materials are best. Thanks, the BestHeating team....See MorePOLL: Pick a radiator!
Comments (15)Why do people like radiators? They take up space, mess up the look of a room, leak and creak, need a boiler and maintenance, plus they make decorating the wall really tricky. If you need to heat your house but don't want the cluttered 'radiator' look, then check out www.discreteheat.com... (water or electric skirting board heating). Modern passive and super-insulated solar dwellings do not need a 'heating system' - they cost very little to run and don't even need a wood burner, - which would very quickly cause overheating! (Note: Biomass fuel is not carbon neutral; not until you have fully grown a replacement ). Other choices are underfloor heating which can be water or electric based. Another option is infra-red heating www.infraredcompany.com and www.herschel-infrared.co.uk, but it would be healthier all round if we started to evolve faster and stopped thinking like cavemen/womem. The way forward is insulation and the reduction of energy use, not radiators and fossil fuels....See MoreBathroom layout. Where to put the towel rail & shower control?
Comments (8)Thank you both. Victoria - like the idea of the vanity there with the toilet on the same side but i think with the space to the toilet it would feel very cramped as there would only be around 40cm between the vanity and toilet in which to stand. I know it's a concession but do you think having a 600 vanity and if i can run the waste round the left wall this would be the best option on the layout? It of course all depends on what the plumber can manage with the waste but hopefully there is a solution!...See MoreHeated towel rail not heating!
Comments (3)I had new towel rails a few years ago, they worked perfectly for a while then stopped. Did all the usual but nothing. Then had a power flush and viola they work!...See Morekwg kwg
