Need help deciding on paint colour to prettify garden
Comments (9)Light colours always help to make a garden pretty so maybe try a pastel colour. I'm personally in love with a sort of light mint colour, this works really well with white (but any pastel will) cornflour is nice too for gardens as it is more of a contrast to the leaves. Growing a climber up some trellis on the wall might be an idea too, honeysuckle smells very sweet and attracts butterflies but any climber again will work. I have attached the mint colour I meant just for clarity, a word of caution would be that it can look a little clinical so to be used in moderation....See MoreHelp! Comments (16)I have to agree with Crafty Countess about having a vinyl flooring. I would recommend Loose Lay by Karndean. The range comes in wood plank and stone tile effects, does not have to be glued down except around the edges of the room and damaged "tiles" can be easily replaced. They are made for commercial use, so are very durable and will retain their looks for years to come. From our own tenants, I've found that white or off- white works best. You'll never get a colour right for a tenant. In the past, we've hung curtains, which our tenants always ask to take down and put up their own. We've painted lightly fresh or richly cozy feature walls, which our tenants have asked to paint over. So we always use a neutral paint now. We allow our tenants to hang pictures, providing they repair and paint the holes when they move out and use wall stickups that they can take with them. The less colour you put in, the more you allow your tenants to make the space their own....See MoreHelp with picking a grey paint color
Comments (7)if you are looking for a crisp, clean grey, I would stay away from Farrow and Ball, their light greys all tend to have a muddy look, which is fab if you want vintage look. If you are looking for high end paint, little greene colours are definitely more clean and crisp than F&B but a lower price alternative would be Laura Ashley, I used their pale dove grey and it was very fresh and clean (really pale though, not sure if that is what you are looking for). You will probably read some bad things about LA paint but my experience of it was fine, looked like any other paint when it was done! Also, don't pay full price for it, it is always on sale....See Morehelp with paint colours for open plan room
Comments (56)I completely missed that! LOL. Mornings ;0) - the door will indeed be painted the same colour. I just took it off to paint all the door frame and it’s on my list for the next rainy day (been starting the garden tidy up now the patio is done as it’s a mess!) Only pain is that from the hallway it will be painted a lighter colour so now I have to sand down all the drips on it and the frame as I made a mess, ha ha. Would have loved dark doors in the hall BUT it’s a tiny space with barely any natural light and has 5 doors in it!! (Bungalow) pfff. All wood so have to paint them (horrified smiley face inserted here!!)...See Morepeggysue67
