Walk-in wardrobe + Guestroom

Hello everybody!

Wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for a men’s walk-in wardrobe that doubles as a guest room. Thinking of a minimal or Scandinavian style. Perhaps a bed that folds up into a sofa or hides away somehow.

Any thoughts?

How about a Murphy bed. One that folds up against the wall and looks part of fitted wardrobes.

Some inspo for you below - Scandi wardrobe style is often very open, sometimes with just rails - not sure if this is what you were aiming for or wanted more traditional wardrobes?

I've just designed my own walk in wardrobe after doing them for clients for years. I'm going for the "Carrie from Sex and the City" layout, where you walk through the wardrobe to the ensuite. Unfortunately, my wardrobe will not be stuffed full of designer labels though! NB it is also the pre Mr Big wardrobe, yikes, don't ever think I'd have a house big enough for that one!!!

Hi; without being rude I don’t think you have the space for both. Walk in wardrobes take up a lot more space than people realise. We have a similar layout & have 10m for it to work efficiently. I think it’s better to have a full wall of wardrobes & a luxurious bathroom. At the end to the day, a walk in only hangs your clothes! You only spend a minute in there. I wouldn’t put clothes in a bathroom - there’s steam & poop smells, and it just seems odd. You could even fit a bath in that en-suite for a hotel feel!

If you have a lot of clothes I would go for a small sofa bed. If you are a minimalist murphy bed is a good idea :)
