Comments (8)Hi. If you want a factory feel I think I would be looking at a freestanding cast iron or copper bath. I'd tile the whole wall in either brick effect tiles or metro tiles. If you go metro tiles I'd probably add a darker border. This may be a bit of a splurge but I would try and get a factory style shower screen. The images are from decoist, flor and peppermint bliss. If you like these try either a local glazier, may need one anyway!, or there are a number of bespoke companies online so would email a pic for a quote. With a free standing bath you are going to have to either move the loo up for the taps or see what can be done with the recess, preferably I'd remove the shelf in the recess as it can't all be hiding plumbing. What is the wall cupboard at the end of the bath? It also looks as if you have a big cupboard in the bathroom? If so, I would be looking at a wooden or metal console with a freestanding basin, if you shop around, you can get them cheaply. If you don't have other storage, maybe save money and paint the existing unit but update the taps. If you don't go for the shower screen then add a factory style mirror and some industriał pendants hanging down....See MoreNeed help 'styling out' black/grey bathroom
Comments (23)Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end...See Morebathroom / washing machine

Comments (2)If you want to update on a budget, then I think painting the walls will help. I think a darker shade would look good, say a coffee or taupe colour maybe? I would paint the shelf the same colour as the walls and then add a plant or two, one hanging down and one spreading up and out. The tiling limits the colour palate, are they pinkish with brown and beige mosaic border? If taupe is not for you, then white walls, wooden shelving and plants would look good. Here’s some ideas...See MoreRichard G
