POLL: Toilet, loo or cloakroom?
Comments (8)Tom, I think my choice going by the poll, looked a bit old fashioned but if I were visiting someone, I would ask for the ladies room and not the dunny, can loo or toilet. Those other words are a bit course when in new company I feel....See MoreDownstairs toilet/cloakroom
Comments (7)There is a great colour called Blackend in the Farrow and Ball Range. The Farrow and Ball paint is not of good quality, unfortunately. I am a professional decorator and have this colour mixed up in the Johnstone's range of Cova Plus Matt, which is of superior quality. If you pop down to your local Johnstones trade centre, have a look on the internet, they will be able to mix up this colour for you. Just ask. Its a brilliant colour....See MoreDownstairs Loo Flooring
Comments (2)How about vinyl sheeting? I’ve got it in my small shower room as I felt it was too small for tiles (so much cutting!). It’s warmer than tiles and is slightly non slip. Mine’s been down 6 years and has fared well. We had the wooden floorboards boarded with ply first. It comes in a huge array of patterns and colours. I think it all came to £250 including fitting. It’s nothing like the old style vinyl! I would go with a completely different style to the wood floor in the hall as it will be very difficult to match. Here’s some examples....See MoreCloakroom toilet - how to arrange this space!?

And how to load and unload the washing machine? I'd advise you to look for another nook for the washing machine. Minimum toilet space is 120x80cm. Our downstairs loo (original to the house) is 120x95 and husband (187cm) goes upstairs if he needs to sit down, or has to leave the door open......See MoreARC Bespoke Interiors
