King Size Ottoman Storage Bed

Hello guys;

I'm finding difficulty finding a king size bed (with head board and ottoman storage) with a maximum length of 210cm. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

P.S I'm not a fan of the headboards with the 2 wooden legs.

Hello Jane, Personally I would consider the larger bed but forgo the bedside table.. lobarker has a good point about floating shelving and even floating bedside lighting! I too have a huge bed 4 poster and the bedroom is huge with a fireplace.. but.. I cannot just move the bathroom that has been put in the corner without ££ because freeholder wants to charge for survey, even though it's partition wall! I don't have a gr8 deal of ££. So at the moment living with a quarter of the room taken. One side to get to the other is barely wider than the width of my frame! I have a free standing wardrobe at the end and my wardrobe is in my living room... Actually wardrobes look fantastic in living rooms.. I have a french style painted matt black to suit the bed and there is a Chinese wardrobe in the living room... The reason for this explanation is that you could consider ripping out the built in version which is what I would do... In favour of having a free standing version.. Either there or as I have both, but in separate rooms. In fact wardrobes are far more versatile.. you can have as larder, crockery storage, in kitchen, dining, living or bedroom... So have a think about what you could do if you forgo the idea of built in... It could give you more space to play with.. : ))

Brad, How about sourcing a joiner who can make you a bespoke one? We specialise in garden rooms but feel sure there must be other wood wizards out there who could do this for you. Then you can have exactly the size you want, in the wood you prefer, with the amount of storage you need.

Hi. It looks a great flat. I'd keep paint light and neutral and use colour for accessories. The aurora sofa would be my choice, light in colour and with slim arms. Made.com do a couple of plug in wall lights you may like to go over the sofa. Perhaps consider a large potted plant between the sofa and FF. I can't really see/read the measurements but would a slim storage ottoman work as a cofffee table? Preferably one on legs. Use a rug to zone the seating area but I would keep the colour/tone close to the floor so the rug doesn't make the room feel smaller. I'd go for a bench set for the dining table, something like this where the benches tuck fully under. If you wanted chairs one side then go for clear, acrylic ones such as ghost. Add a sheepskin or cushions to the bench and I'd add a large mirror over the table. You can use a floor lamp with a slim base, maybe something like an arc lamp, to zone the dining area. I'd just go for one bedside table so as to access the wardrobe, maybe even consider a standard double bed. You can use paint or wallpaper to create a headboard and make the bed a focal point if you didn't want to buy a large headboard. Are you going for the mirrored pax? Can you include shelves and a pole over the WD for storage and coats? The advantage of the hemnes day bed is it can convert to a double so could last until adulthood in theory. Would you/he consider a midsleeper? There are loads on Wayfair (with good reviews).
