Wishbone chairs!

Could you please tell me how do you prevent the tops of the armrests from getting scratched by the table tops when tucked in?

Is the F&B colour mentioned above Mizzle, maybe? They still do it and it sounds right. Also perhaps Dimpsie and Blackened but do check Craig & Rose too- their quality is at least as good and possibly better. I wanted to use F&B colours but was put off by the mixed reviews and their complicated prep instructions and decided to try C&R (or 1829 as it was known then) and am now in the process of using it for the whole house.

The butterfly / bat chair is from Argentina if I recall, however the Scandi natural material / minimal clean look does have a lot of influence from the 1940s-60s USA modernist designer era, and seem pretty interchangeable from a style perspective with Scandi these days.

I like your idea of the black chairs with cross hatched legs. It echoes up both the table legs and the table top. And it not only avoids trying to match the wood of the floor and table top, but breaks up all the wood. What about this version which comes in black leather with some interesting stitching across the seat area. I think the leather would suit your decor better than moulded plastic, and this particular chair is a sensible price. They have the cross hatching that echoes the table, and the leather and black got with the vintage + industrial vibe of the table.

Sorry, I think I have Covid brain fog! They are from John Lewis. I am not sure if they still do this colour, they may now do a fabric version, but I find them extremely comfortable and so does my mother who is elderly. Mine are oak like these, but do check them out, they are very stylish.
