Comments (1)A Bavarian beer table might fit ? They tend to be narrow with bench seating - so easy to tuck away inter the table when not in use ! Usually about 600mm wide with two 300mm benches then you still could have room for the bits you are after maybe ! Draw it up on paper or on ikea design thingy and see what fits !...See MoreRe decorating front room
Comments (2)Hi Annie. I'm not sure I would paper that ŵall as I think it may make the proportions of the ŵall out. I would paint both the panelling and ŵalls up to the ceiling. You seem to favour pale neutrals so perhaps in either a pale but warm grey or stone? Which way does the room face and how much light does it get? I'd swap the art over the fire for maybe an oval shaped mirror hung landscape to bring more light in. Add some lighter cushions to your sofa in silvery grey and pale taupes in a mixture of solids and patterns. I'm not sure where you're based so do you mean you're changing the rug as the carpet looks new? I agree, if in budget, I would add a coffee table. You could keep accessories simple with flowers/plants and piles of books....See MoreLooking for decorating ideas with paints
Comments (1)Hi there, You could look into some warm neutrals - off whites, beige, grey, 'greige'. Is the first image of some artwork that'll be put on the wall?...See MoreHelp me decorate my living room! Feeling overwhelmed...

It's easy to miss other options and there are so many of them, not to mention that in a year the dark blue thing will have passed and have been taken over by something else, possibly green. I think the most important thing is what colour sofas you get as you will probably have them for a long time. I like Minnie's idea of purple browns, and or browny pinks. So versatile and they would go with lots of things. Orange and violet (or burnt orange, cognacs etc and almost browny warm violets) are beautiful together and if they are muted look great with flashes of more saturated smaller items....See MoreBrazucaself228
