bathroom paint ideas

Hi,

firstly apologies for the messy bathroom! Ive been concentrating on painting bedrooms and its become neglected! Having added lots of colour to my flat the bathroom is looking bare. I'm looking at selling in a couple of years so having a stylish space would be nice, but really looking for a quick revamp. . The bathroom is west facing.

Cant afford to change any fixings right now so its all about the colour. currently have grey green in hallway, sapphire salute in one bedroom and pink in another so am not afraid of colour.

Bathroom furniture is wenge. I'd like to paint this all grey but afraid of messing it up so loking at a colour to pull it all together.

Any ideas?

Were the wall tiles and floor tiles put in at the same time? I am just wondering about how to tie together the brown wall tiles and the grey floor tiles.

Update -- my plumber finally returned. Not sure what he did while here, but he told me again it wasn't working -- then he did some work on a radiator which had a small leak. We were having a long discussion about options on pumps, new showers, taps etc and I read out the installation guide and he tried it again, and suddenly it worked. It is bizarre as I don't know how many times i tried it previously. My friend who works in construction ALSO called earlier today and tried it several times to no avail. It must have been extremely stiff or perhaps the plumber realised some airlock whilst fixing the radiator since I think water pressure is much stronger since he went. Thanks for everyones help -- i learned lots on plumbing and a valuable lesson to take out the installation manuals myself and not trust that trades men know everything!!! I feel like celebrating!!

Front hallway- I say save your money leave it up. Cost of removal is minor but you will likely have to move radiators and electrics and make good plasterwork and coving- I say protect another £1500 profit. Present the larger back reception as a living room and present the front reception as the dining room. Given that the bathroom is likely to go upstairs make the downstairs bathroom into a room to access the garden- I would present the kitchen as a kitchen/breakfast room with doors to see the garden as being able to see from the front door to the back garden should pay dividend.

I've been thinking about options to cover all basis and came up with this. To allow guests to use a bath/shower the ensuite would be shared. I added a wall in the master bedroom to divide it and add privacy so guests don't have to walk into the bedroom to get to the bath/shower. The upsides are that the ensuite is larger, includes a bath and shower and has more vanity room. Also, by diving the bedroom I can add sort of a walk-in wardrobe. The downsides are that there's only one bath/shower that has to be shared and guests have to walk through the walk-in wardrobe to get to it. Also, it reduces the size of the master bedroom but it's quite a long room anyway and it would cut out the light from the windows in the bedroom. Personally I don't see these as big problems but I guess some people won't like it. Do you think this is a good idea?

Dark grouting is in at the moment, you could do that on the wall tiles. That would tie in with the grey floor tiles then. Paint the walls white, but hang pictures. Remove clutter, ornaments and flowers from window. Paint over the brown tiles

Is painting those little brown/beige tiles possible? Aren't they some kind of stone or marble?

Some of them them appear grey-ish though.

You could have a trailing plant above the mirror, and a single statement one above toilet area. These are artificial from IKEA, so low maintenance. Yellow is a great colour with grey. If you say you are not afraid of colour, imagine a vibrant ochre on walls, and a yellow/grey Roman blind over window to tie it in. Grey paint over those brown tiles
