Which black?
Comments (6)The problem is that with the images that you see online or in magazines you don't know what the lighting is like. Colour is magical and fickle. The same paint photographed in several different lights looks like several different colours. The Farrow and Ball website is fantastic as it shows a video of each colour that shows off it's variations. I would go for a colour that 'looks' black in lots of different lights but is not actually 'black'. i.e. a blue black or a grey black or a green black. It will be more subtle and give the room more personality. You will find that most 'blacks' in painted kitchens are not actually 'black' if you see them in real life. A real hard 'Black' black is good if you want to create a very 'graphic' hard effect. Think of Pop Art or Japannese....See MoreBlack or grey bi folds with grey kitchen
Comments (13)I would put black in. Goes with everything. I just put black in my kitchen and I love them. They will go well with your colour scheme. personally having different colour windows upstairs and downstairs would irritate me (so much that I changed all my upstairs windows to black to match)....See MoreDIY-Kitchens Bespoke (F&B Railings)
Comments (17)I used Little and Greene's Flat Oil Eggshell and the Two fussy blokes rollers. I did a TON of research and it was very straight forward because all of the hard work was already done in the priming. I am not sure if DIY would let you purchase the units primed, might be worth asking. They offered it to us as an option to make it right. We had paid for the kitchen before their paint line failed and they didn't informed us. By the time we came to choose our delivery date they realised that they cannot fulfil the order. So they offered us a discount and a ready to paint primed kitchen. I took my time and was impressed on the finish I achieved, my neighbour a professional painter decorator was on stand by in case I messed it up, he was impressed with the results too. It definitely gave me the confidence to do it again, BUT saying all of that the factory spray finish is amazing so I would choose that if I had the option. I have no doubt in my mind that you will love the quality and the colour match, most people I stalk on Insta are well pleased but I understand of course that this is just hear say and the importance of seeing a sample....See MoreWhite shaker timber kitchen with black marquina worktop
Comments (14)It is stunning. She used 2700K downlighters and of course there's an edison bulb so that will affect perceived lighting. In natural light the cashmere looks like a warm pinky grey with a tinge of magenta which goes perfectly with F&B Skimming Stone. The tiles are also a similar hue, so it all ties together. You can message her on instagram if you want to know more about the worktop. I think she got it as part of the deal at DIY kitchens....See MoreSonia
