I need to source one of these architectural pillar for my kitchen refit. Where did you get yours!! It’s stunning ?!

Hi, the clients sourced the column from an architectural reclamation yard. https://www.englishsalvage.co.uk/ It formed part of an old Victorian bandstand. if no luck there please try https://www.willesdensalvage.co.uk/ or https://authentic-reclamation.co.uk/reclaimed/architectural-antiques/

Thanks so much everyone - this has been great. Sorry for the lack of response - been flat out!!!! It must be hard for you American guys to work on such old English designs.... The ideas have gradually culminated into what really would look good on the house. Ourfarmhouse - these are absolutely great ideas, and thanks Everything Beautiful for getting the jist and putting the ideas onto the house image - nothing like seeing an actual design on your own home. We've got an architech working on it, and he's keen on the iron-wrought idea... but we're not sure. Basically toss-up with this and Everything Beautiful's design (2 above). Going with a four-pannel door, but would like to incorporate some glass somewhere! Possibly a panel above with the house name engraved on it?? Victoria - absolutely right...! We don't need to sit outside with the weather.......... say no more! Just wanting something to cover yourself while you're unlocking the door. We've also done a tour of the local areas, and found a couple of porches - amazing what you find right on your doorstep! Will attach pics shortly...

Hi Minnie I'm good thanks. Sounds like we need to form a George Clarke fan club! I've stalked him on Twitter for years :) Minnie was in John Lewis earlier and had a gander at the Little Greene colour chip board and have to say Silt looked fabulous with the Purple Brown you like, it's looks fairly dark compared to other colours you've mentioned (and maybe a wildcard offering) but might work for exterior. Also had a little play with the Johnstones visualiser thingy on their website and very straightforward, I've never had any joy with the Dulux one.

I grew up in a Georgian house with Victorian bay windows. They added another dimension to the uniformity of the regency windows. Definitely didn't have the garage attached though! And where are the (mock) chimneys? Only problem with the real thing is planning permission - nightmare. They're usually listed buildings so we can't even get double glazed windows. Freezing winters! Fabulous home though.

We would suggest you contact an architectural designer to rationalise the layout and ensure structural verification. As a quick note, we would suggest not placing a w/c near the kitchen/dining room, so that air contamination from the w/c won't enter these areas after use. www.pwjarchitects.com
