What wall kitchen tiles to use
Hi everyone,
I need your help with some advice.
We are redecorating our kitchen at the moment.
And because I love hexagonal tiles this is what we put on the floor in an ombre effect, white, grey and dark grey.
I would like to put hexagonal tiles on the wall aswell. I have 2 options.
First option to use the same simple white tiles as o the floor.
Option two I just found a gorgeous marble effect hexagonal tile that is made out of 3 diamonds.
The problem is that I don t want to overdue it and exagerate with second option.
Can you please help me, I will attach some pictures.

Comments (10)Hi, Tiles, paint, glass splashback or using the same worktop effect as a splashback all depends on personal choice as this is the space you will be using and seeing daily especially if you are a real foodie. If it is tiles you are wanting, I wouldnt tile to the top, I think it may be too much Especially with metro tiles; rather I'd prefer to line the tiles with the window bars and see if the extractor can be lowered by a notch to ensure there is continuing straight line through out. Alternatively, I'd consider a neutral coloured glass splashback behind the counter space which would co-ordinate with your walls and work surface.... Comments (3)On top of the skirting? No way! I think that would look awful. Far too bulky in a sleek designed room. We have an ensuite which has the wall tiles sitting on top of the floor tiles to give the impression of more of a wet room effect. We also have a main bathroom and in here have the floor tiles cut to the size of the skirting that was originally in there height wise and then placed on top of the floor tiles So one room has nothing and the other room has the floor tiles up the wall as a skirting....See MoreSimona Andrei

Thank you so much for your opinions. Definetly then I will chose the simple version of white tiles.
The units are light grey. We did not decide on the worktop if it will be white or light grey as well.
I will upload tonight more pictures with the room but is not much in it, just tiles.
The picture below is what I had in mind to do, to paint the wall in a darker grey because I have a big window near the hob.

5 years agoHere are a few pictures with the room, the tiles are still dirty we just finish grouting.
So the area where I need put wall tiles is quite small. Exactly where is the washing machine at the moment the hob will be placed.
On the left side of the wall will be a tall unit.
Here are all the samples, the big ones are just a few cm smaller than the floor ones
