Comments (28)In my opinion the round chair takes a lot of space, but if you want to keep it you have to declutter the area even more. As said above, the photos on the feature wall are not necessary. If you remove them entirely I think it would look better. I also think that you don't need the side table there. You could either have the chair or the side table, but not both in that corner. The big coffee table takes a lot of space and closes the room. I would suggest removing both the big coffee table and the matching side table and having the little yellow/green round table as your coffee table. It goes lovely with the cushions and the sofa. You can put a slim modern floor standing lamp between the chair and the sofa if light is needed in this corner. You do have some great furniture pieces and features in these room. Keep it simple and airy! That will bring the style in....See Morenew sofa or sofa made to measure?
Comments (8)The Luxury of made to measure bespoke furniture is you get to choose exactly what you would like your sofa be from fabric, colour, type of cushion filling to the exact dimensions you require. I also think the other advantage is you can also custom the sofa to fit the space in which it sits to maximise space. I would in my experience say that if you prepared to pay a certain amount for a sofa that there isn't that much in the overall cost but find that you may actually get a bit more for your money for instance a lovely feather foam wrapped cushion against a hallow fibre dacron seat cushion, sprung seat section instead of webbing that kind of thing. If you find a style why not ask for a comparison cost you maybe pleasantly surprised. My only real advise would be to make a full list of specifications for your upholsterer to work to such as how soft you would like the seat so he has some clear guidelines....See MoreNew home ! Comments (11)Do you have a separate living room? If you do, rather than add a small sofa I'd be tempted to go for a long rectangular table and add a banquette seat one side so you've got a comfy seat to watch tv. I've just found a couple of pics showing wishbone chairs with banquettes so ignore colour/style. Rugs do look great under dining tables although personally I wouldn't have one re cleaning! If you did add a sheepskin on a chair you're bringing in texture that waŷ. Re wood, I'd either go for a similar grain or pick one of the tones in the oak . I think the door works with the floor but you would be able to lighten it if wanted...See MoreNeed advice how to place my sofa and tv set in the living room
Comments (4)I think I'd put the T.V in corner A. It's the one least likely to get glare from the Windows. If your Sofa is along the line B /C ( don't know where the door is ), Then you will not be to close to the T.V. If the Sofa is in the middle then at a rough guess you're going to be well over 10-12 Feet away from corner A................See Morelisa gee
