It's a lovely light room but certainly a tricky one to furnish given the configuration of door with windows. Lesley345 is right that the easiest way to deal with it would be to consider it as a room of two halves to either side of the door. Then you can give each end a function so potentially the area to the left of the door where the TV is now could be a seating area and could take a corner sofa, while the opposite end could be more about watching the TV in the alcove and have a couple of comfortable chairs which could be easily adjusted in a situation where the TV was off and you had a larger group of friends/family around. you would then want to tie it all together by using a large rug to visually bring it all together. You could also look at having a projector rather than a TV and using the large white wall at one end to project onto. If watching TV isn't actually that important to you then you could create a seating area centrally to the room with the windows as the focal point and statement storage units/art work/piano at the ends of the room. It's not necessary to have furniture backed up against the walls and placing items centrally instead could help free up the way you consider the space. The key thing to do is to consider the activities that you want to do in the room most of the time and then decide on the furniture you need to support those activities, particularly considering ways to make things flexible and possibly multifunctional. Unable to see what the room looks like in natural daylight or there is indeed a good source of natural light. However, avoid a single lighting source, i.e a chandelier. The chandelier you have makes the corners of the room dark and gives a closed-in feeling. Have LED downlights installed across your ceiling - six to eight should spread the brightness across the room and allow light to reach the dark corners. They save energy too £££ :)

I think the smallest size shower is 700 so would probably use that as a minimum although that's for a fully enclosed shower so you could potentially go a tiny bit smaller if stuck for space. It does also depend on your family's size though as to what is comfortable for everyone. I'd also include the niches for shampoo bottles etc if possible

Hi Carmen, Regarding Q1 - I think the first picture of the concrete, would work well as you have warm light coming through to your kitchen so it's a good idea to leverage the light with the look you are after. I assume this is your worktop? Q2 - I'm not sure what you mean in terms of which colour should you use for the cupboard doors. I wouldn't recommend using the same material as the worktop. I would add a contrasting colour from your floors if they are white. It also depends on the look and feel you are after? Do you want it to look light and bright? In which case steer away from darker heavier colours. Q3 - I guess the only thing I would say, is do you have the space to move it to another area? Only go for this option if you know you are going to move it around. Otherwise a fixed island maybe better as you can use it as a breakfast area too? Q4 - Agree on the units not going all the way to the top of the ceiling, the only thing I would say is only go for this option as long as you don't put anything on top of the units!
