Comments (4)It's very small - the saniflow on a neighbours wall is not very sociable as the vibrations /noise could cause annoyance. So I'd probably suggest something along these lines as a starting point ... Basin near to window for good daylight . Loo opposite on internal wall. Leaving a small 800mm infold door shower ... Rad could go behind door ?! What would the affect be if you opened the door outwards into the bedroom ?! As that might help make the ensuite seem larger - or can you put a pocket door in instead maybe ?...See MoreWindow near shower dilemma
Comments (9)I misunderstood the plan mistaking the tank cupboard for a bath. So I assume from your comment that the tank is going- I got rid of one in my last house by installing a combi boiler and presume you are doing the same. I would suggest you put the bath and shower on the window wall but put the shower on the right side of the window where there is more wall. WC where the tank is now and the basin stays in the original location but perhaps swap for a vanity with loads of storage. Given that he is quite tall consider hanging the basin higher than normal....See MoreTap colour dilemma
Comments (7)I agree that contrasting finishes can look more interesting...think contrasting bag and shoes! Black and chrome would work fine, as would black and brass (and definitely on trend). And you're right, if you live in and around London, you have hard water scale build up to deal with. Just be aware, brass fittings take more care (and are more expensive)...i.e. more time in cleaning and you have to be careful with what you clean them with. If not cared for properly, they will eventually go black - literally! So, if you love scrubbing, then brass does look great...but if you'd rather be doing something else with your time, beside polishing your brass taps to perfection...then chrome is more practical. Hope that helps!...See MoreSofa colour/style dilemma!
Comments (30)Thank you all for voting! We went with a charcoal velvet sofa in the end, very squishy and comfortable - great for the library! Green velvet would have also looked great but as ever, budgets aren’t unlimited so we went with something that would hopefully fit in if the decor changed in the future!...See MoreDanielle H
