Black framed bath screen

Hi all,

I've seen this come up a few times, but hoping someone can help!

I'm looking for a bath screen to match this: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/571323902723149848/

Very difficult in the UK, and quotes I've had are around £4k. Surely this isn't too difficult to create?

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi. Have a look at this thread. The screen was made by the company on the link for £670. Its differs to yours in that you don't want the black frame on the end but cant see it being a problem

Hi Andy,

Does it have to be a fixed panel from bath to the ceiling? We can suggest a screen that has a black wall profile if you're local to Surrey or South West London? :)

Hello John, I do like a black door or a dark charcoal but it does really entirely depend on the scheme and where the doors are... If you have a set of wooden french doors that open onto a large sized room then they could be fantastic black or a charcoal.. If not it might be better to compliment these with the overall colour scheme which really should include all woodwork.. Skirting, dado, architrave and picture rail.. The other thing is the period and style of the architecture.. I personally have done both accentuated wood work and blended... It really is a matter of looking at the space as a whole... Smaller budgets are absolutely no problem at all if you know how to deal with the space as a whole... The other thing to consider in this scenario are the windows and the flooring as these too are vital. Here you can see the window frames are a mix of black and a mauve - I make my own paint as I chose a matt finish for the windows. (curtains and blinds to be added soon)... You can then see the walls are a complimentary colour as is the flooring.. Black can be fantastic and black doors are spectacular but do think of them as part of a scheme and not just as an accent... Same goes for white doors on black or darker architrave and wood work...... It all can work it's just knowing what would suit best... One other thing... Take into account the furniture and flow of the space... You want a coherent scheme throughout... For black doors think glass and brass hardware.... Oh and another one more thing... Will the doors be painted both sides or only one side and the other another colour... Are they going to be open and if so will this be worse if one colour or the other... Have a think before you start about these things... as you don't want to have to re-do : )) For very plain without any woodwork.. For a two tone look.... One of my favourites! Monochrome.. Symmetry Black on black... If you want to inject warmth and something altogether more spectacular... consider textures and natural materials... Woods, concrete, warm leathers and other interesting uses of black in spatial design..... I think fantastic!!!

I have had a quick look at my bathroom suppliers and cannot find this screen. The best value I can find for you to buy independently is this two panel bath screen from Heat and Plumb at £665 or (not full height and with curve) this Twyfords screen at £215 (you have probably seen these and rejected them already).

Bumping this to the top as I look for a new supplier for this...

Is there anyone in London who can help with shower screen per the reference at the top of the thread?

Looking like 800mm wide, and 2100mm tall, 8mm easy-clean glass, with a pewter/matte black frame on three sides.

I am about to finish all of the bathroom, and the shower screen is the last (and now delayed) part of the project, so timing is important!

Hi Andy, we provide lots of bespoke solutions and may be able to help with this. We are a manufacturer and work with lots of showrooms in London such as West One, CP Hart and Alternative bathrooms.

We work with 10mm toughened glass - we also have a Matt Black finish. This would be a bespoke option as its ceiling fixed so the lead time would be around 4 weeks from the point of order. We could potentially offer as part of our Monaco range - link below. Price wise this would be approximately £1,200 to £1,500

Hi Andy, A custom made shower screen is straight forward the costing you said seem extremely high for what is just glass and channel, CR Laurence provide a matt black range of shower hardware including channel.

We are based in Bristol not sure how far that is for you but if your close we can certainly help.

We unfortunately don't do bath screen like that as standard that would go all the way to the ceiling but possibly could do a bespoke option. Otherwise Merlyn has a range of black screens.
