kitchen cabinet handles - where do I find them?

I am currently redoing my kitchen and am struggling massively with finding handles Iike. I'm going with a shaker style kitchen in a grey with white work tops so i would like some bronze handles to give it a bit more excitement. I wondered if anyone has found some gems? I've attached pics of the colour of handle I'm after. Any suggestions are greatly appreciate.

Hi Brittany,

Love the style of kitchen you are going for!! You can Ged Kennett or Joseph Giles for great brass and bronze handles. I can’t remember if they only deal with trade accounts, if so I’d be happy to help you out as I have a great relationship with both. Take a look at their websites, I know they also do custom work.

From the pics I would call that antiqued brass rather than bronze (bronze usually is a darker brown). Try Armac Martin, Dowsing & Reynolds, Jim Lawrence, maybe deVol?

You can simply add hints of black in things like tea towels or a simple black flower pot with fresh basil in on the window sill, you don't have to go full on with black accessories, keep it simple and subtle and let other elements of your kitchen be the main focus :)

Zaza Cocoon Ltd there is no one answer to your question! I'm sure you will agree that it all depends on the particular style of the kitchen and individual's preference. Personally I like handles, but at the same time I do recognise the beauty of handleless designs like push open or fingers pull groove, which are just perfect for modern, contemporary kitchen design. As Armac Martin said, handles can add character to any unit and make it look so much more stylish + you can hang towels on some. Bathroom Eleven also has an extremely valid point - boy do kids love to hang from handles! Not to mention that a push open mechanism saves you from getting the handle dirty if you are working in the kitchen and your hands are covered with flour etc.

Thanks very much for the replies. I actually ended up going with the Boston handles from hafele. My centres (after remeasuring properly) were 416 and 454 and the Boston handles had a 416 and 448 option which is the closest i've been able to get - i think i might just have to bit the bullet and move one or both of the holes to make up the 6mm difference. One thing i was going to ask is that the ends are separate from the bar and if i wiggle the bar ends open by a few mm each side they obviously fit pretty well but then expose a bit of the black plastic (if that makes sense). What i was wondering is there such a thing as a packer or washer for handles such as these? Probably a silly question but though i would ask just in case! Thank you again

Have a look on Etsy, there's some really nice ones on there and they're fairly reasonable.

eBay has loads like this and for very reasonable prices. Certainly less than you’d get elsewhere!
