Black splitface tiles - wet or matt look?

We're having trouble deciding if our panel of black splitface tiles would look better with a matt sealant or the colour-enhancing, wet-look sealant. The colour of the main tiles shows up as beige in pictures but it's actually a light grey. We think the wet look is really nice but are wondering if a more natural appearance might look better against the other grey tiles. We're also putting an anthracite radiator onto the splitface panel.

Comments (4)HI Jodg, Microcement is what you should look into. Its seamless, so no worries about trim. When applied by trained applicators it's completely waterproof. It's available in over 30 standard colours, also metallic finishes. it's only 3mm thick so you wouldn't lose as much space as you would with panels. We incorporate a mesh into the base so it will not crack. Finally the sealing is polyurethane so aswell as being waterproof it is extremely hard wearing. Comments (12)I love the brick wall, it now has a bit of a mid century look to it. I would go for rectangular porcelain tiles or even glazed quarry tiles. Unglazed porcelain tiles are really tough and don't scratch. Comments (9)I decided to do what your thinking about (coloured grout on floor, then white grout on walls). I think it looks OK not odd, but obviously is personal opinion. Pic attached part way through work, I didn't use a grey marble but a gold vein marble. I think I would have preferred tiles lined up between floor and wall still but you don't notice too much after a bit.
