Should I paint my dresser?
Comments (20)Hi Bridgette, It would look great painted in Elephant's Breath as suggested earlier. One thing to consider may be covering the inside of the top glass panels with a frosted window film. The translucent panels would glow beautifully with the lights. Also the film would hide items in the side displays meaning that the centre display would be the star of the show!...See MoreWhat colour should I paint my kitchen presses , island and walls ?
Comments (3)Hi, what will be on the floor? Definitely get samples of the colours you like first, paint some large pieces of cardboard with it and look at them in the light of your actual kitchen. This is Purbeck Stone with Mole's Breath You could paint the walls Ammonite, Cornforth White or Wevet. I'd go for a light coloured Quartz worktop, but again, I would look at samples and hold them together with your chosen paint colours....See MoreWhat colour should I paint my sideboard?
Comments (2)Hi Rachel, I would be tempted to paint it a softer grey like farrow & ball Ammonite or even Farrow & ball Cornforth. With a softer grey you will find the sideboard will not feel as strong in the room, allowing you for the navy chairs & sofa's to take center stage in the room....See MoreShould I paint my English Arts and Crafts farmhouse black?
Comments (7)It doesn’t seem like the black oak and render was an original choice. I wonder if the lower part was originally brick or if the upper part was originally wood but it was painted to disguise its aging. And if I’m honest I don’t like the black either as it is too close to the roof colour which makes the house seem top heavy and the lovely windows disappear. Given the house age I would be investigating it’s insulation and wondering if the cladding needs to be removed and insulation added to the outside. You then of course have a blank canvass. Personally I think the cottage windows, the eyebrow roofline and the stonework around the front door are lost with a dark colour. I’m aware of course there is a budget consideration but I would be considering replacing the windows with similar looking hertitage windows but perhaps in a colour. And I would be looking at removing the wood cladding and rendering the whole lot....See MoreSonia
