Can anyone help with my Opuntia?

Hi!

I just bought an Opuntia 1.5 months ago. Observing the growth, I notice that it grows “redder” and the tip tend to lean down. Can anyone explain? I tried to search some factors that could cause the lean down:
1. Over watered
2. Need to move to bigger planter
3. Need more of the sun

I think it might just be leaning towards the sun? In which case, you just need to rotate the pot every few days to keep him upright! :-)

Hi Claire, Do the doors actually open inwards into the room? How about considering place the bed in the center of the room facing the doors? You would disguise the back of the bed with a thin console table which have some dressing style storage (jewelry etc) and can hold some tall flowers and candles to set the mood on entering. There's lots of ways you can add the luxury feel you are looking but this would create real impact and make the bed the real feature of the space. If budget allows I would hang lights from the ceiling ad beside lights and layer up on dressing for an even more luxurious feel. I have attached one of my clients bedroom design (single room re-design package) to show you the hanging lighting idea - if this isn't possible then a well placed small chandelier style light would have a great effect on the space. kitchen island electrical socket dilemma. can anyone help

We're also planning on having the evoline pop up on a 2.3m x 1.2m island with corner seating for 4, I have no appliances on the island so will locate it slightly off centre so that it is away from people eating, drinking but can be used by people sitting there or on the other side if someone is preparing food ( food processor etc ). I will also add a socket on the side but if you're plugging in a laptop or phone on a side socket, I'm just concerned that people/kids will walk/run past it and drag the lead and phone onto the floor...panic! I like the idea of a charging station in a drawer though!

I would also leave them bare - depending on privacy. These are ours. We have fairly sheer blinds (put in by previous owner when they had the house extended and bifolds fitted). We occasionally use them to shade the TV. We are having more bifolds put into a further extension and no plans (or budget) to dress them at the moment. Will see what glare and things are like in time.

I literally just took a screen shot on my iPhone and edited it, whilst having my brunch. Others do great mock-ups but I’m no except just use Houzz as a great source of ideas. If you search “apps” on the discussion search bar you should find some recommendations. We did a loft conversion about 3yrs back in or small cottage so we had to make use of every spare space possible. Good luck with your project. It looks v exciting. Hopefully you will get some great ideas that you can work incorporate in your design.
