Comments (8)Hi Suzie, could you perhaps do something a bit out of the box and choose something that is a splash of colour? Like a found object? Chinese ceramic stools? you can also go to vintage fairs etc. Or some companies source and stock interesting pieces. I quite like the idea of timber for your chest of drawers etc. Difficult to visualise the space thought! Colour choice is pretty personal. I am partial to blues and purples.. but that is just me! They have a huge range of door colours/styles (Over 120 at last count!) in matts, gloss, sparkes, painted woods/woodgrains, metalics etc. and a very flexible system. We recently came up against Sharps, and our quote for a similar configuration/style was around half the price of Sharps. If you pick carefully your styles and mix of units, it can be very good value. You could find your local dealer at this link. Here's another view of the room - I've an awful lot of built-in furniture, which is the concept I'm struggling with, I think.

5 years agoYes a lot of storage, but very lovely storage! It’s so pretty. One thought is maybe painting the wall behind the mirror a mossy green similar to your chair? It can help draw the eye. And how about hanging something on the wardrobe knobs or in front of the doors such as a little heart, rather like this?

5 years agoBrass knobs! He he, sorry, had to say it:-). But for me the white cabinet handles don’t quite look right, think some small antique brass/bronze/pewter knobs would look more traditional and also suit the style of your bedstead. The one in pic is from Cast in Style but there’s plenty of places you can get cupboard knobs from. Agree with forza about a jewelry box and possibly painting behind the mirror a deeper shade. Also a dried flower arrangement would look nice. Lovely room btw. X
