Need help with kitchen unit colour with tile
Comments (31)The darkest is worsted. We have ruled it out but the sample had already been ordered from the kitchen place so took it anyway. I think we need the cooler blue greys so I am going to do bigger cards of lamp room grey and pavilion grey. I am swaying towards lamp room grey. Just to add, those last two pictures are during a heavy rain shower and it was very dark outside, its probably as dark as we will see the colours. I will take again in brighter conditions....See MoreKitchen unit colour dilemma- please help.
Comments (8)The room looks very modern and spacious and having 2 colours in a kitchen is very popular. With regards to wall units (see image below where shelves have been used) & fridge/freezers, it really is down to personal preference but American fridge/freezers are very bulky, but they do give a lot of fridge space, although the freezers do tend to be a little small. Shelving can look nice and it could keep costs down. Decisions, decisions :-) Here are some pics of shaker kitchens that our customers have sent us with 2 different colours that they have used in their kitchens. If you want to see more pics then they can be seen here....See Morenot sure what colour units to have in my kitchen and worktops too
Comments (3)I'd go to photos on houzz. select kitchens, then just flick through loads of pics and save all the ones you like then you might see a pattern appear... Also think about your space, is it big, bright,.....one colour in one room might not suit another room........See MoreFloor colour with grey units. Opinion on design. Urgent help
Comments (16)Unless you particularly like the desaturated look of all greys, my instinct would be to go with a more natural shade of oak for the flooring. https://www.howdens.com/joinery/floors/flooring/vinyl-flooring/quick-step-livyn-single-plank-natural-oak-luxury-vinyl-flooring-2105m-pack-sdh3680 Possibly even this; https://www.howdens.com/joinery/floors/flooring/vinyl-flooring/quick-step-livyn-single-plank-dark-brown-oak-luxury-vinyl-flooring-2105m-pack-sdh3684 for more contrast. The shelves are fine in whitewash, painting them may make the room feel smaller. Its better to let your items on display be the focus, than the shelves themselves. The darker bifold look more modern, and add extra dimension to the space. Depending on where the other window is, and how out of place it may look from the outside, you could replace it to go with the doors, or have the internal frame painted to match....See Moreminipie
