Right, my en suite bathroom - do your worst!
Comments (132)They are lovely handles Patrina. I'm having a bit of a handle issue since the holes in the pull handles on the four drawers are 83mm centre to centre and there are not many options with that sizing in brushed brass. I've found a couple of possibilities from china but with the problems there I'm not sure how long they will take to arrive....See MoreHow do you make a rented space feel like home?
Comments (38)We rent unfurnished, so always have our own furniture around us. I don't go in TOO much for the soft furnishings (rugs, cushions, curtains, throws), as they are cluttersome and really interefere with a low-maintenance life. Moreover, sadly, my posters, paintings and photographs have had to stay in storage for about five years, due to increasing fussiness by landlords/ -ladies about holes in the walls. HOWEVER, it is crucial to have ENOUGH of your own things around you, so that the web of YOUR things covers over a space which is, essentially, not yours. Minimalism has definite limits. Our last place had revolting dull mustard yellow walls, which definitely needed covering! Bookcases (with books!), a folding screen/ room divider, tension rods to create hanging rails, and one big rug (for the sitting room) come with us everywhere, like the interior of some sort of nomad's yurt! Seasonal and fresh decorations are another way to decorate a temporary home, and they leave only biodegradable waste, rather than broken MDF or shattered plastic! Leaf-skeletons on a string and rosehip-studded twigs (snap off the thorns!) for autumn (Fall). Holly, ivy and dried wildflowers for winter. Fresh wildflowers for spring and summer. Herbs in the kitchen....See MoreWould you decorate differently if you didn't have children?
Comments (27)My hand-bag should be much lighter these days but it's not. Big ones are away from home, small ones are teens - so old enough to cram all their worldly goods into their own pockets + suck it up if anything is lost/broken in their care. Now handbag is full of elderly relative's goods - prescription meds, haemorrhoid creams, spare nebuliser capsules, pocket hankies, spare catheter bag, his appointment cards, his paperwork, his pension card + shopping list, Vicks Vapo-rub, a caipín .... Car emptied of pushchairs + buggies + car-seats, replaced with walking sticks, 4 wheel rollator, Handybar for ease of getting in + out. Have learner plates + disability sticker on windscreen ... Ho hum...See MoreColour of bar stool
Comments (33)Mairead, I think that Comfort is a big consideration as well as colour. I recommend that you choose barstools with backs. We have a wide range of comfortable barstools in exciting and vibrant colours that would suit your Breakfast Bar.Here are Doris S Barstools in Lipstick Red at a similar breakfast bar. Or how about Lime Green Or Purple? Or Center Stools in Burgundy? This shows the Sample card for our Magic Eco Leather Range with 30 colours. We have 26 colours of real leather also and all our prices are FAR less than the £953 above. This is a screenshot of our App http://www.seatingmyway.com/app/chairs If you go onto it, you have a choice of 18 Seats - click the one you like, then click the barstool or chair base you like and you will see a picture of the stool or chair you have created. At the lower left are all of the upholstery ranges. Click on one - We recommend Magic Eco Leather Cat A or Real Standard Leather Cat C or Leather Extra Cat D. The colours available in that range will appear. Click one colour and your seat changes colour to your selection. you can also see the cost price and order code. You can also rotate the image using the circular arrows or preview your fabric selection by clicking "Preview" at the left hand side. So you can have bar stools and matching chairs for an open plan layout. We can post Sample cards showing cuttings of the actual colours to help you match with your decor.
