Dark spare bedroom - help!
Comments (17)Add reflective accents, not just mirrors, but warm metallics such as copper and bronze in accessories and textiles to reflect the lighting and add warm glints to the moody blues. I would use a warm light neutral (a cream, mushroom or taupe) to balance out the blue rather than stark white or light grey. This would make the room feel cosy rather than gloomy. But remember that you will need lights on constantly in the room if you go dark. Maybe set up a wiring circuit so that all your lamps go on with one switch? Or use down lighters concealed behind pelmets or a false ceiling to wash light down the walls? And make sure that you have good task lighting in wardrobes and near vanity units, or makeup and dressing will be tricky!...See MoreBedroom colour scheme...... Inspiration required!
Comments (12)Have you had a look at a golden colour for the walls, it works amazing with that muted pink colour... http://www.pippajamesoninteriors.co.uk/2015/trends/dulux-colour-of-the-year-2016-cherished-gold/ Or if you go for a more neutral wall colour brighten the room up with vibrant bed linen, perhaps a pattern or if your more into plain colours then go for a linen that super luxurious, it will instantly make the room look more luxurious....See MoreHelp! Comments (2)Pictures on the walls definitely. One between windows and another behind bed. I think you could keep the neutral theme, but add more textures, like a fluffy cream rug and more dressings/cushions on the bed - maybe a chunky knit, or an arran throw. Some bedside lights too look missing....See MoreMasculine Bedroom Colour Scheme
Comments (12)Hi Neil, I've selected a few swatches for blinds that I feel would look great with the style of room you have in mind. Kintyre Murray Blue and Eastern Pacific Weave in Dim Out fabric. Our unique award winning Fabric Changer Roller Blinds allow you to change your room’s look in an instant. For bedrooms our Bloc Out blinds provide total blackout and bring an unmatched level of darkness to any room, functionality that is just not possible to achieve with any other blackout blind currently on the market. Did you say you have a bay window also? Blinds are an ideal solution for bay windows as they leave floor space and allow radiators to heat the room without blockage. Our BlocOut products have been independently tested by The British Board of Agrément and are proven to reduce heat loss through the window by 43%. Our customers have also reported a reduction in external noise. I've added in an image here of our Marble Black Out fabric. For further advice or support on how to install don’t hesitate to contact our team at info@blocblinds.com and we’ll be happy to help. Good Luck! Sile...See MoreE D
