Verdigris

I think copper worktop do look beautiful! But I'm concerned about the production of verdigris which is toxic when ingested, so perhaps not ideal in a kitchen. Have you found a way around this?

Our copper worktops are all aged in-house using red wine vinegar. Not only is vinegar a natural ingredient and completely food safe, it also produces an amazing mottled 'copper oxide patina' which you can see in our St. Johns showroom. Copper also has natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties and has been used in hospitals and kitchens as work surfaces to protect from germs for years. Just to note, our copper worktops aren't supplied with any "verdigris" on them. Verdigris is blue-green pigment that forms on copper if it is left untreated over a long period of time. This powdery-pigment can be easily removed by washing with warm soapy water. Any products that we supply with verdigris such as our cup handles, are all sealed with wax prior to dispatch. A vertical column radiator would indeed be a good option, and I like the anthracite idea. Alternatively, if you could find a traditional tall victorian radiator (may not be easy to source) and finish it in a bronze/verdigris, it could work really well with your dark mint and would be a real statement! Your staircase is lovely, and I would go with a contemporary striped runner, white painted sides and a simple rod.

Hi. If you want a factory feel I think I would be looking at a freestanding cast iron or copper bath. I'd tile the whole wall in either brick effect tiles or metro tiles. If you go metro tiles I'd probably add a darker border. This may be a bit of a splurge but I would try and get a factory style shower screen. The images are from decoist, flor and peppermint bliss. If you like these try either a local glazier, may need one anyway!, or there are a number of bespoke companies online so would email a pic for a quote. With a free standing bath you are going to have to either move the loo up for the taps or see what can be done with the recess, preferably I'd remove the shelf in the recess as it can't all be hiding plumbing. What is the wall cupboard at the end of the bath? It also looks as if you have a big cupboard in the bathroom? If so, I would be looking at a wooden or metal console with a freestanding basin, if you shop around, you can get them cheaply. If you don't have other storage, maybe save money and paint the existing unit but update the taps. If you don't go for the shower screen then add a factory style mirror and some industriał pendants hanging down.

Lovely tiles but bottom looks like a natural stone tile I sold a while back. Price - £520 per sqm!! There was a soaked travertine option which didn't sound great as travertine isn't that waterproof anyways! The £500m² was from https://allnaturaltiles.co.uk :) Although lovely, I would go for something along these lines, you'd still get the same contrast effects even in gloss - https://www.britishceramictile.com/british-ceramic-tile/denim-gloss-wall-bct52166 https://www.johnson-tiles.com/ will do any tile, any size any shape in loads of colours, drop them an email with these images and I'm sure they'll help :)

@pma - yes I thought about the silver side and although it looked better (guess because of all the silver in the room) it kind of drained the wall? Made it feel colder? Weird. I got a bronzed brass sample from the metal sheet company and before I painted the wall, you couldn’t really see all the colours in it (just looked black) Then after painting, all the bronze and colours popped out of it so I’m getting a price. Will be something we will have to save for as it will be super expensive ie probably over £600 so we are going to live with the painted wall for now and add the shelves etc then see what we think :0) Going to get some gold toned hanging lights as they might just lift that area without it being too much.
