Mirror or art above fireplace
Comments (9)www.guigsart.co.uk Hi. Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up an area, I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking point to the room.... Please check out my website if you like the idea and please get in contact, commission work is also welcomed so if you like a particular style I can do in a select colour palette and size as an original piece…..I’m also able to produce all original paintings in high end print format, in any size same or smaller than the original. (all within proportions to the original so not to cause distortion) All prints shown are Giclee prints onto soft textured fine art media. All prints come with a white border these can be made to measure too. So lots of options,...See MoreMIRROR FEATURE ABOVE SIDEBOARD
Comments (0)Hello, I would very much appreciate some advice on the above. I would like to make a mirror feature above the sideboard and would like some advice on following:- 1. I want to use wood as the background and then apply mirror over the top. Which wood would be the best to use. either MDF or Plywood? Also, which adhesive would be the best to use, to apply mirror to wood, or would I need to apply and prep the wood first? 2. I want to make some shelving and then apply mirror all around. Would you advise me to use plywood again or something lighter? 3. I would need to stick the shelving to the mirror. What adhesive would you advise to use? 4. I will also be applying a mirror tile on top of the background mirror, in some areas, again, what would be the best adhesive to use to stick mirror tiles onto mirror? Many thanks Anita...See MoreWhich mirror above fireplace?
Comments (14)I had this issue when we moved into our house :) The original mirror that we had was a rectangular one. This actually got cracked during the move, and I even took it to the local glazier and for £40 had it all made good again. We'd always had a rectangular, so we didn't think of changing. Then whilst out, I came across this round mirror and instantly wanted it. IMO there is absolutely no contest in which one I prefer. (round one if you're guessing) I'd never even considered a round mirror as an option - but I bought it, hoping that it would be ok as I had nowhere else to put it should I not like it. I don't know how this will help you in your question - but just go with what you like. Bang a nail in, and if you don't like it, change it, if you still don't like it, hang a picture on it - be flexible, When you find something - you'll know that it's correct....See MoreWhich mirror above fireplace?
