Panel for slimline bath

I cannot find a replacement bath panel for my Ideal Standard space saver bath from Ideal Standard. It was bought about 15 years ago but I'm not ready to replace it yet.

Dimensions are 1700 x 650 (head end) x 550 (tap end) mm.

Does anyone know where I can get one or some innovative solution for the side of this curved bath?

I had a cream suite in my previous house and to modernise the room for sale, I painted the walls grey and got a grey wood replacement bath panel. In this house I have a similar panel and I just sanded it and painted with a satin wood paint. Perhaps find a grey loo seat, then colour match the panel with it? I will try to find the pics of the grey/cream bathroom and post them so you can see the colours together.

Hiya :) Would need images of your current room to say! If in the UK - good allrounder manufacturer to look at would be Roper Rhodes but typically I'd say you want to spend more than that. You can get toilet seats for £60 (wood) but have sold plenty of Bard + Blackwoods £400+ wooden toilet seats. :)

Primer drying time for water based is about 4 hrs but if it is oil based it can take longer. On my bookcases I did 2 coats of primer then 2 coats of eggshell. I suppose painting both sides will help with keeping it waterproof for longer. Good luck!

Such a talking point! A couple of thoughts on other options…. You could try sticking vinyl peel & stick removable wallpaper right on top of the Perspex. I have NuWallpaper in my kitchen as a temporary measure and think it would withstand your bath area just fine. It’s inexpensive and DIY. You aren’t likely to match the existing tile, but you could tile the area in a complementary colour. You could also create a design that incorporates other similar white tiles to tie it all together.

That happened to our old bath panel - they can be so flimsy. We couldn’t find one to fit, and it was a straight bath, so my husband made one out of MDF and I painted it. We eventually turned the bathroom into a shower room instead. I really like the idea above!
